1  CLOTHING / Designer Clothing Homage / macy's jersey dress on: May 02, 2007 04:55:10 PM
Hello everybody
I am intrigued by all the knit dresses I've been seeing lately. I am starting to think I need to buy a bolt of cotton jersey and just make myself a new wardrobe for summer!
This dress I saw on the macy's website is particularly intrigueing:

any thoughts on going about this? I am especially curious about the collar and wrap element. Also, I would love to hear suggestions for sewing with jersey, since I have never really worked with knit fabrics before.
Thanks!
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / berroco coat and wrap patterns on: February 27, 2007 03:35:44 PM
Have any of you seen these free patterns on the Berroco website?

I am intrigued by the instant gratification of these projects, but I am not sure exactly how I feel about how they look. I am having trouble concentrating on school work (what else is new), I'm preoccupied with thinking about where I can get some wool blankets!
Thoughts?
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / knit t-shirt recon first post on: August 10, 2006 04:19:07 PM
well, I have been enjoying craftster for a very long time and finally figured it was about time to join and try to contribute. i have gotten so many great ideas from this site.

so... i got a free t-shirt when everyone was moving out of my dorm at school but the sleeves didn't fit right, so i knit some raglan sleeves and sewed them on. it's not too fancy, but it was a good opportunity to use some yarn i had lying around and i got embellish them with a cable with bobbles.  i am quite pleased.

so here's my try at posting pictures (so exciting!)
