2  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: Went streaking on Halloween! on: November 01, 2010 03:52:05 PM
i really don't think i'll ever be able to top this costume. EVER. i was a stink bug this year.... funny, but not nearly as funny as the streaker.

4  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Went streaking on Halloween! on: November 02, 2009 03:18:35 PM
This was an easy costume to make, especially for how many laughs it got!
I purchased a tan leotard, tights, and black felt (the stiff kind). I cut the felt into rectangles and sewed it into place. You can't see it in the photos, but the back view is also "censored."

I spent the early part of the evening flashing people (thanks to my coworker for the lovely coat!). After that, it was full on streaking! I got a lot of double takes. The costume was definitely a big hit!
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: "crafty" old-fashioned apron! on: September 21, 2007 07:35:21 AM
I love the style of this apron.  Did you design it yourself or did you use a pattern?  It looks very professional, the binding really accents the shape.  I am very jealous of your partner.

thanks so much- this was my first time doing binding, too! i got the pattern from a book called SEW EASY by Jane Cumberbatch.

I made this as part of the Pimp My Craftster Name swap (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=187843)

this was the first time i ever really sewed anything beyond resizing tshirts. what do you think?

9  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Pimp My Craftster Name R2 -- Gallery! on: September 12, 2007 08:28:19 PM
I'm so glad you like everything, Crafty McCrafterson! This is only my second swap so I was a tiny bit worried that I would somehow mess it up. It was also my first time sewing anything from scratch... I usually just resize shirts, etc. AND my first time making and using binding tape. AND my first time really embroidering anything!
haha, what was i thinking?
