1  Christmas Ornaments---a little Mod (my first post ever!) in Winter Holidays by hjherold on: January 13, 2009 08:09:19 AM
Wow I am really nervous about my first post. I've been a fan (or lurker) for over a year now, but have never posted any of my crafty items. So here goes.....

I have had this white Christmas tree for a couple of years and hadn't really found a theme that I liked, but this year I finally decided I wanted a retro, kind of a mod feel. So I drew up an "old style" ornament shape and peppermint candy patterns and went to town decorating them all. It took me about a day and a half to get them all done. I really like how they turned out and it was fun to get out the glue instead of sewing. Kind of like grade school art class.

I used polar fleece with an iron on stabalizer mostly because I liked the bright color and texture of the fleece. Then glued on buttons, rick rack, etc and used lots of glitter glue!
I hope you like them.
