yesterday was my 21st birthday
so for a meal out with friends i made elderflower and golden syrup cake (deliciousssssss) which is vegan, but then i decorated it with buttercream icing, which sadly i didn't use soy butter for since we didn't have any at home and i didn't have time to run out and buy any! but the cake is vegan...anyway, onto the picture

and here's the recipe for the sponge
1lb self-raising flour
4 dessert spoons goldern syrup
1tsp bi-carb
7oz sugar
8floz/200ml sunflower oil
250ml elderflower cordial
250ml apple juice
1. sieve flour and mix dry ingredients
2. add wet ingredients gradually and mix well
3. pour into lined tin, place in oven for 40minutes at gas mark 4.
4. tada! your cake is ready.
