1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Mother's Day / Garden Book on: July 01, 2009 11:42:47 AM
So it's a couple of weeks til Mother's day this year and I wanted to do something special and homemade for my mom. I had this idea to organize my seed in a "garden book" and never got around to it so I decided since she loves to garden, I'd make it for her. I didn't have time to make a book so I used an old binder, covered it in paper and painted it. I painted a tulip on the cover because that is my mom's favorite flower...

I organized the seeds into categories:
squash (This has it's own category because my mom loves squash more than anything else in her garden)
(I was going to have spices in the last category but ran out of time and money for seeds which really adds up btw)

This is the flower page...

And this is the back of the page where I made little pockets for the flower seed packets to go in...

Next are the veggies (I painted all these in art class)  Smiley

And of course, the SQUASH!  Grin

If I had more time, I would have made the inside brown just like the pages to get rid of the yucky white binder color. She loved it anyway and likes to show it off to company. She can't wait to taste that squash  Smiley

2  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Picture frame on: July 01, 2009 11:10:35 AM
I have a lot of buttons I'm trying to get rid of and I am starting a scrapbook so I figured I would put them to good use in a frame =)

It took me a while to assemble them just right and the frame had been this ugly color blue. So I painted the frame, assembled the buttons, a few glue dabs later my finished product Smiley
3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / White Clutch Bag on: July 01, 2009 10:40:34 AM
I love the simple conservative style when it comes to bags and couldn't find anything decent and affordable in the stores. My mom makes dresses and had some leftover white denim fabric. I had a button that I had no use for, so I got stitching. I didn't use a pattern or a photo. I just had and idea and ran with it.

Since the bag is kinda dull on the outside, I wanted to add color. Thus I decided on red polka-dot fabric to bright it up.

I hope these pictures show up! =S
