11  A few baby blankets in Crochet: Completed Projects by Dead_Alice on: September 16, 2010 06:06:56 AM
I've been working on a few baby blankets recently, I don't seem to be able to make one that is 'just right'.

This is the first one, I like the colour and the pattern, but it just feels a bit heavy.

This is just a simple one, maybe a bit too simple. I think it's a bit boring.  Undecided

and the close up

Please let me know what you think.

12  A few happy hooker projects in Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller by Dead_Alice on: July 14, 2010 02:01:22 PM
hi, just a few of my latest projects

my first filet crochet, I was really pleased with how this turned out,

my attempt at cold shoulders. The yarn I used is really itchy and I probably won't wear it. I'm going to make another in a different yarn

Short n sweet

I got soooo confused with this pattern but I got there in the end. I was so happy with this 'cos it's my first garment.

Thanks for looking, i'd love to hear your comments

13  new blanket- fantasy garden in Crochet: Completed Projects by Dead_Alice on: June 20, 2010 02:18:34 AM
This is my latest blanket finally finished. I used double yarn to make it bigger and quicker to make.

The squares were really easy and fun too make. It took about 2 months to complete with lots of other projects inbetween.

Thanks for looking  Smiley

14  blue blanket in Crochet: Completed Projects by Dead_Alice on: March 08, 2010 11:53:41 AM
Finally I have finished this blanket. It's taken about 4 months on and off with smaller projects in between.

I thought it would be alot easier than it was to piece all the squares together, but it was really tricky and I had to make alot of filler squares.

I'm really pleased with how it turned out even though it's not as neat as I wanted (the edges are a bit wavy). Any comments are welcome

15  new scarf with weaving in Crochet: Completed Projects by Dead_Alice on: January 31, 2010 07:26:19 AM
This is my new scarf. It's the first crochet thing that I've designed myself. It's basically just random stitches with some ribbon yarn and plaited yarn woven through them. There are some bobbles in there as well but they don't show up to well in the pics.

Now for the close up

Every row took about 10 minutes because it's quite long.
Anyway, please let me know what you think

16  pink hat in Crochet: Completed Projects by Dead_Alice on: January 26, 2010 09:31:07 AM
hi, this is the first hat i have ever made. The pattern is from ' the art of crochet' magazine. i was really surprised at how fast and simple it was to make.

The colour is actually somewhere in-between the 2 pics. (sorry about my bad photography).

I think I would feel confident about designing my own pattern now.
thanks for looking. comments/ critique welcome

Hi. This is my latest project. It was my first star shaped blanket and I was surprised at how fast it was to make. I can't wait to make another.

Tell me what you think

18  sweet pea shawl in Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller by Dead_Alice on: November 22, 2009 04:06:54 AM
Hi, this is my shawl. I made it in mohair so that it will be nice and warm as a winter scarf thing. It was quite a fine yarn and isn't actually that itchy!

here's the close up

Please excuse the mess in the background.  Wink
Anyway, this is the first time that I've followed a pattern (apart from squares) and I'm really pleased with how it turned out. Tell me what you think.

20  cascade scarf in Crochet: Completed Projects by Dead_Alice on: November 08, 2009 06:17:00 AM
Hi, this is my first crochet project that I've completed myself. (I don't usually have the patience and get my mum to finish stuff for me  Wink )

Here's a close up

I'm not 100% happy with it because now it's done i've decided that I don't really like the yarn that much and mohair is seriously itchy!

Thanks for looking

this is the pattern
