23  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Suggest New Boards and New Features / Re: Baby/Toddler/Child Clothing and Gifts Board? on: February 21, 2007 10:33:18 AM
yeah...also registering my interest in a kids board.  i'm not so into seeing kids stuff on the clothing boards.  no offense anyone!  i just get all excited to see "pretty in pink" and then i open it, and then i'm all let down that its a kids dress!  i mention this example b/c i've fallen for it like 20 times this week.  i'm sure my days of not being into kids stuff are preg_replace('/(.{19})/', '$1 ', 'numbered...biological') clock ticking and all....

but yeah, not to be a grump!  i love everyone's crafts!  i just think it would serve all to have a separate board.   Smiley

ha!  i don't have an answer, but i was considering tackling the shirred shirt!  good think you asked about finishing...i woulda been bummed when i got started and realized that i didn't ask about finishing!

29  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Party Planning / Re: 21 birthday!!! Ideas, Suggestions, Warnings, Stories. on: February 20, 2007 04:04:56 PM
well, you should obviously make a flier with embarassing pics and such...and make about a million copies at kinko's and post them around campus/town.  my roommate was kind enough to mention my marijuana use on my poster...

also, don't forget to go to the grocery store!  you're gonna be so pissed to wake up hung-over and not have anything for breakfast!
30  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Party Planning / Re: ideas for mountains/outdoor-themed bridal shower on: February 20, 2007 03:47:36 PM
well if it's going to be summertime....

as a boulder-ite i LOVE the farmer's market.  go pick up some fresh fruit and such.  perfect snack for a hot summer day!

and as far as activities....i'm not real familiar with bridal showers, but how about something crafty if it's appropriate?  maybe everyone makes a patch (stencil/sew/draw/etc) for a quilt that you could throw together for the happy couple?  maybe decorate vases that could be could be centerpieces for the wedding? maybe a scavenger hunt hike?

wild flowers would be a great decoration...just make sure no tree huggers see you picking 'em!

and of course, anything should also involve dogs and recycling and organic hippy fun!  ha!  Wink
