1  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Discussion and Questions / Looking for this pattern (or similar) on: June 22, 2010 06:15:37 PM
I fell in LOVE with this sun suit pattern. I found 2 similar versions, 1 is from Australian Home Journal from 1955

And the other is a vintage Simplicity pattern.

I know that a lot of times you can find the patterns online in archives, but I'm not able to locate them anywhere. Does anyone happen to know where I can find them or something similar? Or even just how to do the straps like in the Simplicity pattern? It doesn't look like they use buttons, so how would they be attached??

What do you guys think??

3  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / 2 new dresses! on: March 24, 2010 06:15:43 PM
This was my first time writing my own patterns and I'm really pleased with how these 2 dresses came out!

I made this one first, you can see my DD was very excited to wear it. haha

It was originally supposed to be for Easter, but I think it came out way too dark.

So I came up with this one for Easter instead!

I absolutely LOVE the way it came out.

There are some more details about it on my blog, too. Smiley
I would love comments/criticism!
4  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / love your lunch box.. bag on: March 02, 2010 08:11:19 AM
I made a bag using a pattern with this name (by Ginia18 on etsy) for my daughter's school lunches!
I'm very pleased with the way it came out.

Read about it and more pictures on my blog: http://danilykewoah.blogspot.com/
5  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Birthday outfit! on: February 06, 2010 07:47:48 PM
Today was my daughter's first birthday. I made her a dress from a pattern on Etsy (from Romeoandmae - but I modified it to be shorter to fit her) and a pair of bloomers from a McCall's pattern (I sort of winged the ruffles). The bow is from Etsy, too (bowquet.etsy.com)

I only taught myself how to sew about 9 months ago, so this is my first complete outfit for her!

So, without further ado...

C & C welcome!
6  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / My first tutus! (pic heavy) on: January 25, 2010 07:55:24 AM
I made my DD tutus to wear for her Christmas portraits - my first attempts! What do you guys think?

C&C please!
7  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / My first baby blanket on: August 16, 2009 05:00:37 AM
I found some minky and Alexander Henry on clearance at my local fabric store and had to get it. The blanket was originally intended to be a changing pad, but it came out a little big, but it's the perfect size for a travel blanket!!

I just learned how to sew a few months ago, so I'm pretty pleased with how this came out.

8  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Newsboy Cap Pattern Testers Wanted on: January 08, 2009 05:32:02 PM
I need 2-3 people to test a hat pattern for me.
The hat itself is this style: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=17837837

I need someone to test each of the 3 sizes and tell my what circumference the hat comes out to be for them.
The hat comes in an infant, child and teen/adult size. I'd love to see pictures of how it came out, too, but that's not necessary.

You can send me an email at danilykewoah@gmail.com if you're interested. First person to ask for each size gets it.

Thanks!
9  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / What stitch do you think this is? on: November 12, 2008 04:39:18 PM

http://ny-image2.etsy.com/il_430xN.29428246.jpg

I'm trying to figure out what stitch this hat is made in.
It doesn't look quite like a lattice and it doesn't look quite like cable.
Any ideas?
