2  2 new dresses! in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by dani.ELLE on: March 24, 2010 06:15:43 PM
This was my first time writing my own patterns and I'm really pleased with how these 2 dresses came out!

I made this one first, you can see my DD was very excited to wear it. haha

It was originally supposed to be for Easter, but I think it came out way too dark.

So I came up with this one for Easter instead!

I absolutely LOVE the way it came out.

There are some more details about it on my blog, too. Smiley
I would love comments/criticism!

I made a bag using a pattern with this name (by Ginia18 on etsy) for my daughter's school lunches!
I'm very pleased with the way it came out.

Read about it and more pictures on my blog: http://danilykewoah.blogspot.com/

4  Birthday outfit! in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by dani.ELLE on: February 06, 2010 07:47:48 PM
Today was my daughter's first birthday. I made her a dress from a pattern on Etsy (from Romeoandmae - but I modified it to be shorter to fit her) and a pair of bloomers from a McCall's pattern (I sort of winged the ruffles). The bow is from Etsy, too (bowquet.etsy.com)

I only taught myself how to sew about 9 months ago, so this is my first complete outfit for her!

So, without further ado...

C & C welcome!

6  My first baby blanket in Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies by dani.ELLE on: August 16, 2009 05:00:37 AM
I found some minky and Alexander Henry on clearance at my local fabric store and had to get it. The blanket was originally intended to be a changing pad, but it came out a little big, but it's the perfect size for a travel blanket!!

I just learned how to sew a few months ago, so I'm pretty pleased with how this came out.

8  Re: 50+ Wash Cloths-along in Crochetalongs by dani.ELLE on: January 07, 2008 11:34:57 AM

These are my next 2, so I guess 4 & 5. These 2 are being given to my friend and a part of a kitchen set. I didn't use a pattern, it's just a row of sc and a row of treble with a border around the whole thing.

9  Re: Holiday Cheer Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by dani.ELLE on: January 05, 2008 07:42:12 AM
Sorry I'm getting around to posting these so late. I got it a long time ago, but I couldn't find my camera charger. rissarox also got hers already. Smiley

A beautiful pink & white scarf.

These were for me. Two black & white "framed" photos. One is of Paris, the other of NYC (my two favorite cities in the world) & they have quotations from my favorite poem written on them.

Also for me, a handmade journal. The edges have been burned & there is candle wax dripped on the cover. <3

My gift for another person was an adorable blue earflap hat. It now belongs to my youngest brother.

I forgot to take a picture of my ornament, but it's a cute little foam snowman & I also got apple cider mix. Yum. <3

10  Vintage-esque Cloche in Crochet: Completed Projects by dani.ELLE on: January 04, 2008 07:20:33 PM
Okay, so I got my inspiration for this hat from this thread: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=50208.0
I did modify the pattern a little to make it longer and a different head size.
I used Simply Soft Aran & Frosty Green for the main hat and Bernat Softee for the bright blue & bright pink flowers. I forget what the light blue is.

Honestly, I LOVE the way this hat came out and I'm so glad that I decided to make it for myself. Smiley
