1  Crochet handbag inspired by Clover Website in Crochet: Completed Projects by KrisML4 on: November 04, 2006 09:53:29 AM
About a month ago I was looking around the Clover website and saw a really cute grey and white crocheted bag http://www.clover.co.jp/kyan/knit/2006teami/2006_live_in_clover02.shtml#british, so in the spirit of crafting I decided to give it a try.
Here is my version of the bag. It is much larger than the one in the pattern, mostly because I haul around so much stuff.

I have been using it for a few weeks so don't mind the wear. Also, The pattern called for buttons. I thought bunnies were appropriate.

I used some plain brown fabric to line it. Let me know what you think.

2  Peek-a-Bear Scarf in CHALLENGE 15 ENTRIES by KrisML4 on: October 05, 2006 09:14:17 PM
Do you ever have days where you most resemble an angry North American grizzly bear? I know I do. Let the whole world know with the Peek-a-Bear Scarf.
With a mouth that velcros closed and repositionable paws, this bear can can be cute and cuddly- always ready to keep you warm, or just angry and vengeful- ready to attack at any moment.

Shy bear face with mouth closed.

Angry bear face with mouth open.
The head is pinned onto the end of the scarf which gets pinned as so in the first picture. Scarf is knit with brown wool. Let me know what you think.
P.S. This was also my first finished knitting project.
P.S.S. I am terrible at blocking.

3  Two Stenciled t-shirts in Stenciling: Completed Projects by KrisML4 on: August 29, 2006 02:49:40 PM
This was my first try at stenciling. I just bought some acrylic paint and made stencils out of vellum paper. I don't really know why I chose to use stick on vellum paper, it's usually the stuff you put in scrap books,  but it seemed like a good idea at the time and apparently worked out ok.
The first one is a little piece I like to call "lawn love". The picture may not have turned out so well, but it's a lawn gnome and a lawn flamingo.
The second shirt is actually my take on an Escher print I found online.
Let me know what you think.
