Coming late to the excited-about-Watchmen party, but hey, it's fashionable to be late, right? 

Way back after I first read the Watchmen GN, I was gripped by the idea of making cutesy Rorschach things, because, well, nothing goes together like sociopaths and chibis. Having made one, I was hooked, and Baby Rorschach was soon followed by Nite Owl, Ozymandias, the Comedian, Dr Manhattan and finally Silk Spectre.

Here they are!



I used this tutorial as a basis and pretty much winged the clothes, etc.

Other fun facts: they are made of felt and embellished with ribbon, marker, etc. They stand about 12-15cm high each. And although it doesn't show in this picture, Dr Manhattan is... anatomically correct (here's a NSFW picture for those with a morbid curiosity! )

This is beyond amazing. I hit "this rocks" because, well, it does.

If it were me, I would cut out every piece of fabric with "SAMPLE" on it and make something with those pieces. Depending on skill - a dress? A pillow? A quilt? I like the idea of a sort of raggedy punk lolita dress with SAMPLE SAMPLE SAMPLE all over it at different angles.

As for the rest of the fabric... as it's (presumably) good quality, could you make wedding favour bags/covered photo albums/etc from it and sell them? (Would people buy that kind of thing? I have no idea, I don't do fancy. )

Perfect for attaching the correct felt cover to your felt TPS reports. 

(If you don't mind me asking, how did you do the lettering? It looks almost too neat to be freehand. I'm just curious...)
