I sent two packages to canada on 11/7, one arrived in 10 days, the other still isn't there.  I have pm'd my partner, and have not gotten a response, the organizer pm'd yesterday, and I still don't have an update.  I'm not sure what to do.....hmmmmm....

Since we celebrate a rather secular holiday, I thought that silver and fiberoptic would be a good choice.  But then I was left with the ongoing question, what to do as a tree topper....well I recently saw a link about a sock monkey tree topper, so here is my attempt.  He is made out of snowman socks, perfect for our comercial christmas!

17  COOKING / Dessert / Re: In Soviet Russia, Cake Eat You! (history geekiness herein, pic heavy) on: December 05, 2006 08:48:20 AM
I love this cake, so absolutely fantastic....but I must provide the disclaimer that I did my undergrad degree in Russian history (and also specialized in the early Soviet Era).  So of course I love it.  While not a fan of the soviets, they do fascinate me!

I received today from the lovely Mariskalovescrafts.

here is a picture of everything

a close up of the cutest magnets ever...I love the little shoes

and a close up of my own plush "wooden" shoes...which are totally fantastic.

You can also see the yarn she sent which is so soft.  I love it.  There is also a ton of great candy in there, which is currently ruining my dinner Grin

Thank you so much Mariska, everything is wonderful!

Wow fantastic stuff from Sweden and the bay area I think if I identified some of bobolink's gifts correctly!  I love those candy cane/peppermint chocolate bars from Ghiradelli.

ChloeZ, let me know if you want me to post pictures for you!

Totally Bay Area!
Good guess- well actually I'm in Santa  Cruz now, but I collected a lot of it while in San Francisco. How did you guess? I'm guessing the key chain and the Ghirardelli? Smiley

it was the key chain and the ghiradelli....I am in mountain view/palo alto  so I go up to SF for fun.

ChloeZ I am glad you like everything, I always have fun going up to Japantown, I always end up with fun cute things up there!
