1  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / Re: 2014 DeStash-Along on: January 08, 2014 03:22:06 AM
I really should join this (I have an obscene stash and finally a place to craft/sew in, thanks to the best bestie ever) but I'm a little nervous about, well, failing. (The "50 projects" one has an allure too but I know my crafty failure rate is pretty high...) But if nobody minds if I flub up or fall prey to gravity, could I give it a whirl? (I should catalogue my stash and WIP/Repair pile anyways...)
2  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: A home for Alice on: January 01, 2014 01:10:54 AM
I love your Alice! May I recommend Dorothy Gale of the Wizard of Oz, or Wendy Darling of Peter Pan? Both seem appropriate to the theme. (I also heartily endorse the Disney Rapunzel - she's a wonderful reinvention of the character, who in the classic tale wasn't much of a "heroine" so much as a literal door prize... Wink )

very nice, and I LOVE that shade of blue - deep and rich without being 'grey' at all.

10  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: Emoticon Status Update Tissue Cover on: May 26, 2011 02:15:13 PM
VERY cute, though I thought of something - felt usually sticks to felt, not hard, but a little. When I was little, my grandmother had a toy which was basically just a sheet of felt in a frame, and a bunch of felt shapes that stuck to it and could be used to make pictures. I recall it being immense fun - when I was 5 Wink You could do much the same thing with this - make the cover in felt, then make a whole bunch of punctuation pieces and let the person assemble their own emoticon, changing it anytime they want.
