I am not sure if anyone here needs a review of an industrial but this is the one I use at work and I wanted to show it off and throw props to anyone who sews for a living on one of these <3
Year: Probably 20yrs old...
Cost: $700-800 USD On Craigslist. The new ones aren't the same...
How long have you had the machine? Sewing on this one for 1 1/2 years.
Is it a basic sewing machine, serger, or embroidery machine? Walking foot industrial
What are your favorite features? Guts. This machine sews through plastic, heavy duty webbing, cordura and velcro sandwiches with no problem.
What are some of the unique features it has? It's a pretty basic machine. Takes 20, 22 sz needle and 90, 92 thread. Standard bobbin winder. Knee lift is nice
How well does it run? Like a champ. I love my machine.
Has it ever broken or needed maintenance you couldn't do yourself? Needs oiling regularly and you can blow it out with an air compressor.
What are your least favorite features? That it doesn't sew for me
Would you recommend this machine to a friend? Definitely!
I use this machine at work. It's one of three industrials that I run while making tactical gear like belts, back packs, shooting mats and other crazy stuff. I am in love with the power and will of this machine. It doesn't ask questions when you shove a thick stack of plastic and velcro under the foot. This is my own machine here.
Complete with a 12ga shotgun shell, a 308 shell, my trusty pliers for flattening thick webbing, and my St. Anne card. She's the patron saint for seamstresses
I need prayer to get me through my crazy sewing most days!
P.S. That great little light underneath is an add on. It's magnetic and puts the light right where you need it. It's a must for sewing black on black like we do at work
