I made this for my newborn nephew for Christmas. I took a display case- added a few extra slots, painted it and added the frame. I searched for little trinkets for each letter, and I LOVE how it turned out!  Now I wish my kids were little again so I can make more! 

Ok- I have suddenly been altering mousetraps....I really don't like what they are originally intended to do, so I decided to make them more likeable.... 

I would love to do a swap with these, but I have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA how to start one, or be in charge of one.  Would anyone be interested in this, and possible take the lead on it? 

I thought they were a great subject to alter, and they are cheap- I got 4 at the dollar store in town!

Here's an image I found online- there are LOTS of ideas if you google it.  You can make them photo holders on your fridge, or just clever magnets or small artwork.  Hope I'm not the only one loving these!

This is a wind chime I made for a swap.  I was partnered with arachnes thumb- she said she lived on a windy lakeshore, so I tried to make it sturdy, but pretty!  I found so many wonderful things to use- it just came together

I made this for Fiorinda in the wall art swap.  I was inspired by a collage I saw on another site....(can't think of where- I surf waaaaaay too much!    ) Anyway- I love how it turned out.  I am making another for a good friend of mine battling breast cancer- I will use pinks and whites, and symbols of hope and courage.  It was alot of fun to make!   The most difficult part was finding something to ship it in....lesson learned for next time.......

I recently participated in a Wall Art Swap, and this is what I made.  It is my first attempt at altered puzzles, but I love how it turned out!  I am thinking of doing some like this for Christmas gifts. 

I made the puzzle because I couldn't find one the size I like, but I may have to buy ones for the gifts- it took waaaay too long to cut out those pieces!!

I really loved this paper line from Studio 45....had been wanting to do something with it for a while, it was great when that swap came up! 

For work I had to design something using certain papers and embellishments, so I made this!  The little van is attached to a magnet so it sticks to my board.  I love how it turned out!  My kids enjoyed using this to countdown to our trip to Florida this summer.  (sorry it's a little blurry- I used my phone!)

I am making hand made picture frames but am having a problem with the stands, or easel back and how to attach it to my frame.  I am using binders board and attaching glass to the front.  Then on the back I put the stand (also made of binders board).  I can't figure out how to attach it and make it stay. If you look at store bought frames they have this small metal piece that attaches the frame to the stand.  THATS what I am looking for, or some other way to permanately attach the stand.  Any ideas???  Here is a picture of the front of the frame if that helps!  I have been to Hobby Lobby and Michaels.  No luck!  Thanks for the input.

Any ideas out there on how to display magnets at fairs?  I make magnets from microscope slides- they are 1"x 3".  The last fair I did, I put them on an old muffin tin- thought it looked cute, but didn't really know how to prop it up- it kept slipping.  When I laid it down on the table, it looked weird- I'd rather have a standing something or another to display them.  Help!!

Ok, this is my first post, so I hope I'm putting this in the right place.  I am starting xmas presents and am using mint tins to hold items in.  Question is:  how do I paint the tins and cover the words?  I tried using metal primer, but the acrylic paint still is very thin and doesnt' go evenly over the words.    Any advice?  Thanks!!!
