1  Re: I <3 Tea/Coffee/Cocoa Swap Round 5 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by margeetaik on: February 23, 2008 09:34:49 PM
I've received from JenBin. Here are the awesome goods she sent. Prepare for pictures!
Group shot:

Closeup on the fabulous tea cozy:

Picture of some assorted teas, some of which I've seen before and wanted to try (nice choice on the teas!). A very stylish kettle (I don't have one and was really needing it). Travel mug (I've never had one) and the adorable knitted mug cozy.

Next up, tea cup sticky notes, their embossed! Several knitted coasters (really like the colors). Then the really cool tea wallet.

Wait! there's more.
Some wonderful tea chapstick and a tea infuser ball.

Here is a picture of the tea travel holdy thing all tied up, and a whole lot of coffee filters.

The tea travel holdy thing had little containers with some more awesome teas, including some loose leaf teas.
Thank you very much JenBin. I will really enjoy everything, especially since I'm having a tea party for my upcoming birthday!
Hope you like your package.

2  tote/purse bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by margeetaik on: January 16, 2008 11:00:17 PM
I made this bag for my boyfriend's sister for Christmas. I was really happy about how it turned out, so I thought I'd share. This was my first more purse type bag and probably the best, and longest handle I've made. The tree is a hand stamped piece of muslin from a stamp I made.

Hope y'all like.

Here's a close up shot of the tote bag. I was pretty happy how it turned out.:

I painted it using the Kev Walker wrath of god as reference.

I received! That's the fastest I've ever received a package. Here is the magic goodness:

All together 4 mana symbol stamped pillowcases (love the fabric) and 4 life life counters.

Closeup of life counters. Using artwork some artwork I've posted (I'm happy you like my work madpimp Smiley ).
Also received some candy, but it's in the fridge right now recovering from the Texas heat.
Thank you madpimp for the package, I really enjoyed it.

5  Re: Magic the Gathering Celebration (Signup 7/21/07 - 8/17/07. Send by 9/24/07) in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by margeetaik on: July 21, 2007 01:14:17 AM
I sent in my info. Hopefully I didn't put to much on the questionnaire, it's hard to pick my favorites of magic. I also thought of another question: favorite artists. The artwork is so great in magic.
I found this today in inquest:

I thought the pillow is a good crafting inspiration.

6  Re: Tiny Crafts Swap--Favorite Colors! in The Swap Gallery by margeetaik on: June 07, 2007 11:09:09 PM
Pictures of my awesome package from CraftyMcCrafterson:

Whole package, she sent:
- embroidered wristlet which is just my style
- fabric cuff
- hair clips
- sequin hair scrunchies
- tons of awesome paper and cool red beads
- fabric swatches
- pattern and fabric for pear pincushion
Close up of wristlet:

close up of fabric cuff (which I've worn already, love it), adorable hair clips, and beads:

She sent so much great stuff. I can't wait to use all the papers and ephemera she sent and to make the pin cushion, and of course to use everything else. Thanks again!

7  Re: Altoid Tin Theme Swap Round 5 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by margeetaik on: May 19, 2007 05:25:27 PM
I received my tin today! She picked my sewing theme, and did a great job:
top of tin:

Features vintage patterns. My favorite color is red, so that is why she left the red of the altoid tin.
Inside:

Bobbin, buttons, and more vintage patterns. The bobbin is actually full of three colors of thread to go along with the quote.
The goods:

A cute button bracelet, some tea charms (tea was another one of my themes),
3 glass magnets (I think they turned out fine), and my favorite the measuring tape pin.
And of course the bottom:

Also include was a spool of thread keychain, which I also really love.
Thanks for the great tin Aimee!

8  Re: A Few of My favorite Things in The Swap Gallery by margeetaik on: April 18, 2007 02:23:06 PM
I just walked up (a very steep hill) and picked up my package. Let me say the walk was worth it. Foob the package is amazing. I feel very spoiled.

My camera had enough battery power to get one picture.
She sent:
A pocket tackboard, with cute button tacks. (I've always wanted one)
apron, now I need to come up with more reasons to wear an apron
tea bag and comic book cozie, in a great fabric... and she included a comic book  Grin
a very stylish teacup to add to my collection
also a tape wallet (honestly I was never to into the whole duct tape wallet thing, but the colors of this is great, this thing will be well used a lot)
aaaand... some tea, which I'll try while doing projects this evening  Smiley
Thank you again foob!

I finally got around to taking a picture of the greatest scarf ever made and the equally terrific (and comfortable) shirt Inara sent.

I just opened my package form Inara. I just have to say wow, it was all amazing.
First off, the package. It was a huge box:

Everything together:

Yes, that is a 4th doctor scarf bunched up, that I'm in love with, in fact I'm wearing it right now. A tea chest because I love tea, and it has a great quote on the inside of the lid. It was filled with Earl Grey tea too! The shirt of Rassilon is also great. On top of the shirt is Doctor Who magic the gathering cards, these are fantastic. I have no clue how you figured out that I play, but I got a kick out of those.
Close-up of cards:

My camera battery died after the last picture. Once my batteries charge I'll take pictures of the whole scarf.
Thank you Inara!
