Thanks for putting together such an awesome swap and being such a diligent organizer, yarnhag!

Yay!  It arrived!  God bless those lazy fuckers at Canada Post, they actually got something to its destination on time for once!

I'm glad you liked your stuff, toothy.  I had quite the giggle while packing everything up in the scented pink shredded papers. Smiley

You're welcome, Laural.  Smiley

I'm just glad the hoodie fits! *phew*  I always worry when sending clothing, but I figured that it wasn't fitted and was the size you asked for, it would probably be okay.

Laural, I guess threatening to break his legs wouldn't be all that effective in this case, huh? Smiley

I'm not sure what's so scary and dangerous about a parcel from Canada... but I guess better safe than sorry.  Glad I decided against sending out a bonus envelope of anthrax... errr... I mean... chocolate bar. *whistles innocently*

I can't wait to see what you think of your package, tho.  Tell your DH that he'll be in trouble from both of us if he doesn't go today! Smiley

Is that a pirate monkey?

Aye, it most certainly be! Smiley

I received!  YAY!

I'm super-happy with my package.

First off, here's the group shot of everything:

So let's start with my absolute favourite item, a pussy pencil/pen holder.  It's already sitting on my desk at work,  just waiting for the opportunity for me to tell someone they can stuff their pencil in my pussy.  AHAHAHAHA.

I've gotten a few compliments about how pretty she is, though... I mean, look at that face, what's not to love?

Next off, my very own yarn scrotum.  Toothy has a little side business making these, but who else out there has one that's customized with a message like this?:

I can't wait to take it out and start crocheting an ass hat.  I just need to figure out what that would look like first. Smiley

Lastly, I got a tin with five different wine glass charms for me.  These are definitely coming out to play when I have my housewarming this summer!

I got home today from my appointment at the bank, and a package from the fantabulous Laural was waiting on my doorstep for me!  YAY!

Here are the goodies:

There's tons, so I won't post closeups of everything, but here's what I received:

* Four hooks and four balls of yarn (the variegated purple yarn is in this picture, and the periwinkle is in the picture of the yarn container)

* Two small pouches (the one with the little animals on it is my favourite)

* A yarn container with a hole in the top to run yarn out (my cats will be so disappointed at not being able to play with my yarn balls anymore!)

* A patch with three fat kitties, which will be added to the plain cotton project bag

Also...
* A bar of dark mint chocolate (YUM!)
* A notebook and pen
* A pattern for crocheted socks (hmmm.. do I sense a use for the purple yarn?)

I really hope I haven't forgotten anything... I love my package to pieces and can't wait to get started on making things from all my new supplies!

I'm running to the post office as we speak to get my package out!  EEEeeeeeeeek!

It's been a crazy fucking few weeks, and the worst is yet to come... Actually, the only thing standing between me and full-on batshit crazy was the crafting (god knows, I'll have to run home and start up a new project just to stay out of the asylum).  Ha.
9  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Hello Kitty necklace/ornament/backpack charm--you decide! PATTERN INCLUDED!! on: March 21, 2007 01:50:50 PM
Thanks for the compliments! Smiley

The head and ears are made of cotton yarn, Sugar n' Cream to be specific, while the red bow is made of some random red yarn I had leftover from a previous project.  I love cotton.. it's perfect for making amigurumi!

I didn't mean to do it with back loops only... I had been doing a previous project that way, and when I started this one I forgot to get out of the habit.  I figured I could pretend it was on purpose... so it'll be our secret.  Wink  Next time I'll do it proper-like, since I prefer a smoother texture.
