2  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Several Questions on: October 02, 2006 04:23:11 PM
ok, well im still pretty new to sewing and i was wondering what grommet tape was , and also if anyone has experience working at joann's, i wanted to apply, but i have heard that they overwork you?  ive also heard some other things as well, but i was just wondering, and if you were to apply would you just ask anyone who worked there for an application?  ive never applied for a job before either, lol.  Also, can you use interfacing on chiffon and does it matter which side is put onto the fabric?
EDIT:one more thing, for rolled hem foots, i can only find ones with singer, will they work for other machines like brother?  sorry for the question overload!

4  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Wizard of Oz dress on: September 09, 2006 11:05:05 AM
For Halloween I was hoping to be Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, but i'm not sure how to make this dress, i think the white blouse is actually part of the dress and not a seperate garment, but i'm not sure.  If anyone knows how to make this I would be very happy and appreciative if you could make a simple tutorial or anything that would help.

I got some interfacing the other day, but i'm not sure what it really does for the fabric?  so, what does interfacing do?
