This is the serving dish I made in Ceramics this semester... I've been trying to make stuff I can use, but this is kinda fancy-pants. THat's alright... it's perfect as a pizza roll dish, so that's what I use it for..lol... everyone tells me it looks like a bathtub...lol

[This is the stuff I'm getting back this semester as it gets fired. This was my first time throwing on the wheel and I absolutely loved it!! I did some handbuilt pieces too.. but I haven't gotten them all back yet. Our final is Thursday, so hopefully I'll have it all posted b then.. I dunno, be patient with me! Iguess I'm going to do a topic for each of the 3 semesters.. so I still have lots to add!This is my serving dish. I wanted it to look like something a faerie would have in her home... everyone says it looks like a bathtub... lol.. I eat pizza rolls from it..hehe... I want to make more utilitarian stuff, so I'm just gonna use it... it wobbles on the table but makes a great couchtime serving dish...lolThe first one is my george bowl. I love the green and the way the silver pools at the bottom. It almost looks like mercury. Sorry, the pics are so cruddy! I call the second bowl Timewarp... lol, I know it's weird but I figured I might as well name my pieces..lol If you look at the bowl horizontally (cruddy pic), it looks like on space movies when they go the speed of light...lol I've got to get better pics.. I'm just excited about getting it up right now...lol!I didn't realized I kept using the same combination of colors, butI ended up making a little set of bowls I like to call Oilslick in Paradise. I think it looks like water and sky, but ya know, oily.. lolThese are my shotglasses. I call the first one Crikey, there could be no other..lol it looks small but its it's close enough.. it's fun just to hold! I ididn't name the second onebecause i fonked up the glaze and you can tell where my grubby fingers were..lol... I'm thinking of making a batch of 50 shotglasses as a project next semester and selling them to people I know.. I think it could work...lolI have more coming this semester...I just have to get organized and take better pictures of them... I hope you enjoyed my work, because I start back in January, so there WILL be more..lol Thanks for looking and maybe reading through all that....lol!]

[Well, I've been in ceramics for 3 semesters now. I am so glad to find somewhere to put my stuff.. I hope you all like this stuff as much as I liked making it!I'm going to be posting alot of my stuff here... So hopefully I can keep you all coming back to see what I've done!This is the first raku piece I've done. I really didn't know what I was doing so this is kinda simple I guess. I really like working in raku, hopefully I can make something great next semester.This is my second raku. It started out as a really thick slab vessel. I just took my wooden rib and made spots for bulges and pushed them out to the spaeI wanted. Alot of people say it looks like a pregnant woman.This is my sandwich plate and mug. I wanted them to match so I could use them like a fancy-pants... I need to reglaze the rim of the mug because the glaze cracked off. The plate was made by using awooden plug mold,and I made the mug buy slab building. The mug and handle fit right into my hand, and it's huge so i need to fix it so I can use it!This is my weirdo teapot. I never really have a plan when i start a project, I just have crazy ideas as i go along... Oh well, I glazed this with the same stuff as the rim of my mug, so it looks really splotchy.. It's still cool though...(I just realized, you can't see it very well but it has a handle)I will be adding more as I get more pictures.. Heh... after a misfortunate event while trying to stencil my BF a Thundercats Pillowcase... I figured I'd try to stencil mine.

I tried cutting his stencil AFTER ironing it on (freezer paper) because I'm a DUMB ass... so I took the extra time to cut it out before ironing it on. This caused the teeth to come off during the painting... so.. yeah... I really don't know what I'm doing, but I'm satisfied with the way it turned out....





Gonna try my hand at his again next....
