11  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Suggest New Boards and New Features / Re: Baby/Toddler/Child Clothing and Gifts Board? on: February 25, 2007 09:45:33 AM
Well... I thought I would give you an update on what I know. Thus far Leah has decided not to add a children's board. They stated there maybe the chance for tags in the distant future. But this leaves me a lil upset and unsatisfied. There is so much support here, that it breaks my heart. here is a quote from the PM from sweets4ever (who is a wonderful mod, btw) Grin :

Hey Sweets! Wink I know you guys are super busy and that Leah is bombarded with the site but do you think we will see a childrens clothing board (or something for children) in the near future? A lot of people PM me to see if I have heard anything, but I haven't... So , thought I would ask Cheesy Thanks so much for doing a great job! Grin Dianna

I don't think there will be a children's board actually installed, but we are working on some major upgrades, "Craftster 2.0," with the possibility of tags, which would essentially serve the part. Smiley  I don't have an ETA for ya though yet - sorry. Sad

So, the only option available for people who sew for their children seems to be to post by the mini skirts or head out to a different forum. There are two that I know of:

www.sew-whats-new.com Great sewing forum, though not as active. Does have a children's board

www.everythingsewing.net Great site overall, they have some wonderful how tos, you can browse pics of the outfits made for little ones in the gallery and click the forum button to go to their forum and you can discuss sewing for lil ones. Cheesy This site typically caters to older generations, gm and what not but are dying for some new young sewers to come aboard. They have lots of knowledge to share. Smiley

I hope this helps everyone somewhat. I know I am terribly dissappointed in this decision and will probably not be as active on Craftster at this point.

17  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Discussion and Questions / Re: Bramaggeddon (aka Building a better bra) on: February 21, 2007 11:36:18 AM
You can buy them. Cheesy sewsassy.com has them. For a cheaper alternative I was at walmart last night (dreaded evil empire) and saw some stretch elastic on clearance. 20 cents a yard. It would be perfect for bras! Cheesy You can also just use more of the fabric since it is a custom bra you wont need it to be adjustable.

No offense taken! Cheesy Thanks for registering your thoughts! Cheesy I agree though. Grin I go sifting for kids stuff, and some things that I think might be kid clothes ends up being just teen clothes or the twenty something crowd. Don't get me wrong I love going that route for inspiration and what not (lmao I am a twenty something) but sometimes I just want to see kids clothes. Cheesy
