11  CRAFTING FOR GOOD AND NOT EVIL / Crafty Charitable/Social Causes / Help make Christmas special for a family whose dad/husband recently passed on: November 28, 2007 11:04:06 AM
As many of you know, we recently lost a loved one back in October. His name was George. He was a wonderful father, of 5, husband and a great friend! I am best friends with his wife and I am quite close to a couple of his children. George was the sole provider for his family and his wife is having a hard time getting a job. This will be the hardest, both financially and emotionally, Christmas for his wife and children.

Therefore, I am asking for any and all help I can get from you wonder people in CRAFTSTERland. I am going to donate every penny I make (until christmas) to help give her family the best christmas they could have. I am also willing and would love any handmade items for any of them. You can pm me for any details. Thank you for all your help.

Just a little fyi.

Josh is 6, Jordan is 9 and special needs, she loves all things girlie and princess like. LOL Rachel is 14. I really don't have much contact with the rest of his kids, they are 15, 16 and step daughter 21.
12  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / Talk About The Swap Process / Swaps I am in... on: October 10, 2007 07:28:53 AM
I am not even sure where to put this, so I am putting it here.  If I am in one of your swaps, I am asking for a couple days to get caught up.  My family lost a loved one in a sudden and tragic way and things have been quite crazy.  I am hoping to get thing back in order and try to get back to normal in the next couple days.  Thank you all for your patience and understanding.

Here are my first knit shares.  I am not the best knitter and really just make basic stuff, but I do enjoy it.

Here is the scarf I whipped up last night.

Here are some baby hats which I will send all but the fuzzy one to a local hospital for the NICU and wherever else they need them.

Thanks for looking.
