2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Summery Tote on: May 25, 2007 04:40:44 PM
Hey All just finished this one up.  Trying to make sure I create more summery type purses, I tend to lean toward darker fabrics alot I think.  I finished this one off with a tie closure and tie handles that can be adjusted.

inside with matching pocket and bottom insert for stability.
3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Paisley's/bamboo handles on: May 24, 2007 06:50:55 PM
Well I have been gone awhile, but am back in the US, have a house and am getting unpacked and started booking craft shows.  So here is my latest creation.  It is a one of a kind and my first time using pre-made handles, but I love it!!!

5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Diaper bag on: February 23, 2007 12:57:06 PM
So I had an order for a diaper bag, I have always only done diaper totes, but she wanted the elastic pockets on the sides.  So I ventured there.  I was short on fabric, but I all worked great I think.  I lined all the pockets with a lime colored fabric that matches tinks outfit.  I didn't have enough of the purple fabric to do a zipper on the top and I didn't have a zipper the right length or the time to install one.   So I did 2 magnetic snaps.  So what do you think?

6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Swap Spoiler, don't look SoonFamo-Artiste and another purse on: February 13, 2007 08:49:33 AM
This one is a special order.  I am just waiting to hear back which trim she wants, white, lavendar or yellow.  It is just a basic jordy with a small flap.

This one is for a swap I am doing.  My person says she likes care bears and was looking for a tote to carry all her art supplies in or a large purse for all her electronic gadgets.  I think it can do either it is about 12 1/2 in. high and about 15 wide at the top.  I put a piece in the bottom to give it support and it is full of pockets to hold things.  My only concern is that it may be to childish looking, but can care bears be anymore childish then they already are (I love carebears by the way and this bag), but I want others opinions.  I would hate to send it and her not like it.

7  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Wedding purse on: February 12, 2007 12:37:56 PM
I would like to make my future sister in law a small purse for her wedding.  I thinking a clutch probably.  Her colors are red/burgundy, navy and white.  Should I just do a plain white silk clutch or should I go with the colors.  She is young, like 21.  So any thoughts on this would be great!
8  EUROPE / GERMANY / Help, question about Bazaar Event at a school on: February 06, 2007 08:22:51 AM
I may have the chance to go to a Bazaar event at a school this weekend.  It is all kid type items being sold.  The fee is only 6 euro.  However do you think I will be just going to a flea market type event and no one will want to pay the money for my craft?  It is only 4 hours also, so I am not giving up a whole day, what are your thoughts.
9  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Desert Camoflauge Purse on: February 02, 2007 08:47:47 AM
I made this for a friend.  I tried something new with the handles.  I have never done them w/ 2 colors and I sewed off the ends and  made the strap so you can tie it and adjust the length.  The pocket from the pants is on one side and the other side I sewed patches to.  I love the new handles, I think I need to make myself one now.

10  FIBER ARTS / Dyeing: Discussion and Questions / Tea Staining on: February 01, 2007 10:26:46 AM
I have some fabric that is very bright, I want to tea stain it to make it more subdued?  My question is after tea staining it do I need to wash it in the washer or not?

Thanks
