2  Summery Tote in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Bailliesbagsbaubles on: May 25, 2007 04:40:44 PM
Hey All just finished this one up.  Trying to make sure I create more summery type purses, I tend to lean toward darker fabrics alot I think.  I finished this one off with a tie closure and tie handles that can be adjusted.

inside with matching pocket and bottom insert for stability.

3  Paisley's/bamboo handles in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Bailliesbagsbaubles on: May 24, 2007 06:50:55 PM
Well I have been gone awhile, but am back in the US, have a house and am getting unpacked and started booking craft shows.  So here is my latest creation.  It is a one of a kind and my first time using pre-made handles, but I love it!!!

5  Re: Ongoing Wish Swap Round 19 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Bailliesbagsbaubles on: March 12, 2007 01:17:40 AM
I want to thank knitwit for the awesome diy felt beads kit she sent me.  she also threw in a tin of hello kitty candies that were great....  I enjoyed doing a few of the beads while at the hospital with my son.  Sorry I didn't take pics.  It was in the mass chaos of getting ready fo the hospital.

I also wanted to post pics of the tote I sent to soon-famo artiste....

it turned out really big and I had a really hard time parting with it as I only have 2 squares of the carebear fabric left.  She said she loved it and was ready to use it.

6  Diaper bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Bailliesbagsbaubles on: February 23, 2007 12:57:06 PM
So I had an order for a diaper bag, I have always only done diaper totes, but she wanted the elastic pockets on the sides.  So I ventured there.  I was short on fabric, but I all worked great I think.  I lined all the pockets with a lime colored fabric that matches tinks outfit.  I didn't have enough of the purple fabric to do a zipper on the top and I didn't have a zipper the right length or the time to install one.   So I did 2 magnetic snaps.  So what do you think?

7  Swap Spoiler, don't look SoonFamo-Artiste and another purse in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Bailliesbagsbaubles on: February 13, 2007 08:49:33 AM
This one is a special order.  I am just waiting to hear back which trim she wants, white, lavendar or yellow.  It is just a basic jordy with a small flap.

This one is for a swap I am doing.  My person says she likes care bears and was looking for a tote to carry all her art supplies in or a large purse for all her electronic gadgets.  I think it can do either it is about 12 1/2 in. high and about 15 wide at the top.  I put a piece in the bottom to give it support and it is full of pockets to hold things.  My only concern is that it may be to childish looking, but can care bears be anymore childish then they already are (I love carebears by the way and this bag), but I want others opinions.  I would hate to send it and her not like it.

8  Desert Camoflauge Purse in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Bailliesbagsbaubles on: February 02, 2007 08:47:47 AM
I made this for a friend.  I tried something new with the handles.  I have never done them w/ 2 colors and I sewed off the ends and  made the strap so you can tie it and adjust the length.  The pocket from the pants is on one side and the other side I sewed patches to.  I love the new handles, I think I need to make myself one now.

10  Bag I made for a swap in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Bailliesbagsbaubles on: January 31, 2007 02:13:05 AM
and she just got it so I can now share with you.  I was really nervous about this, as it was my first swap and what if she didn't like it.  The swap organizer loved it and the receiver of the bag says she likes it, so that makes me happy.  Picking fabric for someone you don't know is hard.

and for good measure another bag I just finished out of the brown cords I had.
