I received from Aeronberry today. She sent me "The Hiding Place" by Corrie ten Boom with John and Elizabeth Sherrill about "the extraordinary adventure of one courageous woman who became a militant heroine of the anti-Nazi underground." I plan to read it once I finish my current book.
This is such a cool idea, but unfortunately, I cannot join. I only have a little over 65 posts, and most of them are not things I have made.. let's just suffice to say that it would be the most complicated detective job for my partner..
(I asked about the flash because it looked like pictures that develop when people put their fingers over the flash)
Hmmm. I'm not sure what I'm gonna do with them. I was thinking maybe a lamp shade, but I'm not sure if that would work... I am still awaiting a brilliant revelation to occur as to what I'm gonna do with them.
And I'm not sure if I want to part with them, there are some I know for sure that I want to keep, and I haven't even looked through all of them. Maybe once I look through all of them, I will decide if I want to get rid of some... if you have a brilliant beyond brilliant idea, I'm sure I could find some to part with.
(sorry for the bad lighting, this was the best I could do without my flash making the slides blend into my rug)
You can't turn the flash off? I found a TON of those old slides at the thrift store and I bought all of them. When I say a TON, I mean probably three or four plastic bags (the size of grocery store bags) full...all of other people's tossed memories.
something I just thought of that might reduce the risk of sending a book your partner already has. I'm going to ask my partner to list all of the books that she/he has by a few different authors that I think she/he will like based upon the questionnaire (probably 3 or 4 of them) Then I'm going to use that list pick something that she/he doesn't have. That way it will still be a surprise.
I have compiled a list of all the books I own for my partner... because I have nothing better to do, really.
