1491  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Reading Rainbow Book/Craft Swap: Signups Closed! Sendout:March 1 on: January 26, 2007 05:52:01 PM
okay.. I am confused by this swap. I have one person I send to, but a different user said they are sending to me.  Huh Is this because there were an uneven number of people?

My book list is here:

(and I guess if you really want to, you could read my journal, but it's kind of dull.)

Just FYI, I am going on retreat starting tomorrow and will not be back until Friday evening.

something I just thought of that might reduce the risk of sending a book your partner already has. I'm going to ask my partner to list all of the books that she/he has by a few different authors that I think she/he will like based upon the questionnaire (probably 3 or 4 of them) Then I'm going to use that list pick something that she/he doesn't have. That way it will still be a surprise.

I have compiled a list of all the books I own for my partner... because I have nothing better to do, really. Smiley

Everyone should read "Jane Eyre"!!!!!!  No excuses.

I read Jane Eyre... but I didn't like it.  Wink

haroldlovesmaude, you should definitely post pics of your clay frames over at the Polymer Clay board! (well, if they're polymer clay... guess they could also be earth clay):
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?board=238.0

The garden one is very nice, and the other one looks like it might have some interesting things going on, like texture or rim embellishments , but can't quite see that one well enough to tell (is it perhaps "faux stamped leather"?).

Thanks! I actually have no idea what kind of clay it is, I just know that it is german (called DAS) and is air dry... probably earth clay. the octagonal one just has arrow/pyramid imprints of one dot, then two, then three, then four, with imprints around the perimeter. I got the idea (for the octagonal one) out of a craft book from the seventies.
