i'm thinking of starting this as my first sweater.....do you guys think this might be a bit much to attempt for a first garment? 

It's really not too difficult but you do need to be able to keep track of multiple patterns at once.  Stitch counters help 

Progress!  Although I really seem to keep knitting and knitting and KNITTING and it's still just over 12 inches...

Well I'm ripping again.  I have no idea what I was (not) thinking...  I am long waisted and low busted so I always start any shaping and inch lower than called for in the pattern.  TOTALLY FORGOT.

I had been making good progress (especially considering how many times I've ripped it out) but haven't touched it in days.  Here's apicture, I plan to rip tonight....

Done!  (but it's little too small  )

I'm not quite back to the point where I was when I ripped, but it's getting close....

Just started the 4th ball of yarn....

I'm starting on the neck next, and whatever yarn I have left will finish up the bottom.

I am very pleased with how this fits, what a great pattern!
