1  2009 Prom Dress Goodness in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by x-xThe_Stitchingsx-x on: November 22, 2009 06:42:40 PM
So I was creeping around I just realized I have yet to post my prom dress from last year!

Made completely myself, no pattern or anything. It was my senior project as well so I had to do extinsive research, keep track of expenses and how I made it rather than just dive in like I do any other time.

The bodice is a full corset made from black twill with ribbon edging. The skirt is made from some silky material I dont remember exactly what it was and I deleted my presentation. The skirt it three layers, each gathered so the next layer is larger (the bottom layer ungathered was long enough to go from the top of our stair case the bottom with fabric to spare Shocked)

3  Porcelian Doll costume. Picci Pudgi! in Halloween Costumes by x-xThe_Stitchingsx-x on: March 31, 2008 08:55:49 AM
So for Halloween LAST YEAR, I know, I wanted to make a costume that had some EGL influence. I decided to be a porcelian doll. My grandmother funded my costume by taking me to Savors to by this HIDDIOUS black dress and a tablecloth that had lace trim that I would need for the dress. She also bought me the ribbon and shoes... I love my grandma

The dress: {It had an ELASTIC WAIST}

The tableclothe: {Dont be fooled, its actually green.}

And the finishing Product: Sorry for so many big pictures

These are from Halloween night, you can kinda see my hair{which was way longer} and makeup. I covered my face with white face powder {also from Grandma} and used eyeliner to make a crack down the center of my head. Oh no, I'm broken...

Thank you much!

4  CPT Update, Projects since Last Summer. in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by x-xThe_Stitchingsx-x on: March 31, 2008 08:39:28 AM
Alright so I finally got around to doing another photoshoot, first one since last summer. Here we go.

First I have a Used tee - Took it in and added sleeves. The sleeves are a stripy cotton with a really soft and fuzzy fleece at the end.

Balboa Island Tee - Started out as an oversized tourist tee from Balboa Island, CA turned into a tube Top with stripy and 'x' hand stitched trim. The logo is for 'Blackbeard's Tattoo Shop' {nonexistant, I believe.}

This one also shows the back of the skirt I'm going to show you next.

The skirt in that one I made from a pair of lounge pants. I cut off the legs right below the writing on the butt and sewed the legs together and make a circle skirt. The butt says 'Angel Patrol'

I thought I needed a pair of skinny jeans so I took some old jeans my sister gave me and attacked them. Not only are they skinny jeans now but they have customs holes and ridges and I sewed some ribbon in them.

Thankyou for looking and make sure to check out my other posts and my website please.

5  CPT Update, New Projects since Last summer. in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by x-xThe_Stitchingsx-x on: March 31, 2008 08:27:52 AM
Most of all my projects are reconstructed so look in there too!

First up, my 'Less than 60 Minute Dress' lol Completely surprised my photographer/best friend and his mom when I told them I made it in less that an hour that day, right before the shoot. Its made from a stretchy white leopard print fabric they had given to me when they moved. Simple tube unhemmed with ribbon for halter straps.

Back:

Then I have a hoodie I made without a pattern nor looking at a hoodie I already have. I just kinda flew by the seat of my pants on this one and is the first hoodie I've made from scratch. Its made from leopard print fleece, red broadcloth and black rib knit.

6  Winter Formal Dress {Kinda late} in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by x-xThe_Stitchingsx-x on: February 15, 2008 10:09:23 AM
Okay so back in December my boyfriend asked me to go to Winter Formal at his school. I had a month to make my dress. It has changed so much from the original sketch {Due to the fact the the fabric kept fraying so I had some major changes to make so it would'nt fall about on me} I'm really happy with how it came out though!

On to the pictures:

Back:

Boob Shot to show off the bust:

The straps are macrame, and the shrug thing I'm wearing I wore over it because I'm kinda modest.... It was made from a strip of fabric that my mom had... I just put it on, pinched, pinned and sewed where I wanted the sleeves to be and cut off the excess.

And one last parting shot!:

10  More Lovely Things..! hehe in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by x-xThe_Stitchingsx-x on: July 03, 2007 08:24:38 AM
Alright So here is the rest of my little 'photoshoot'. There are some new pictures of things I have already posted so I'm going to provide linkage to the previous posts.

First One:Watch More Anime

I took my Anime shirt, Cut it down one side and used as kind of a circle fashion of skirt. I used a pair of old jeans for the waistband and extra fabric where it was too short.

Second:Viva La Bam

Your basic shirt recon. Resized, cut off hems and collar cut out to make it off the shoulder.

Third:CobbWebbs

Now this one you've seen so heres the link: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=149768.msg1483213#msg1483213 {<-cLiCky the Linky n.n} **Note the hair changes.

Fourth:Jean Skirt

This skirt I used 3 different pairs of jeans. Pair one: The waist band. Pair two: One leg, cut down one side. Pair three: Same as pair two. Then I sewed the two legs together to create a circle skirt {yeah I'm kind of obsessed with them at the moment}

Fifth:Fooly Cooly

This one you've seen too: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=126862.msg1226705#msg1226705

{hehe I'm a big business bitch!}

Sixth:Another Jean skirt

Okay I took a pair of jeans my mom hated because I had painted and written all over them and cut off the legs. Then I cut out the drawings, writtings, whatever on the legs and sewed them into an A-line almost skirt.

Seventh{last one I promise}:Plaid Skirt

This one you've seen too:http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=138466.msg1360842#msg1360842
