11  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Summer dress on: February 10, 2010 08:18:14 AM
This is a summer dress I made. Now all we need is some hot weather this year so I can wear it!

This was my first concealed zip, and I'm really pleased with it. It was much easier that I thought it would be, and looks really neat.

12  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Another shirt. on: February 09, 2010 03:45:48 AM
I made this shirt last week, but finished it off today as I had to go out and buy buttons. The fabric is quite thin, so I'll probably have to wear a vest top underneath it, and it's quite a lot snugger on me than it is on my dress form, as I've put on a bit of weight since setting it up!

13  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Paper Mario and Duck Hunt on: February 04, 2010 03:45:45 AM
Here are some Hama bead projects that I've done recently:

Flying ducks (these are now on the wall in our living room!):

Paper Mario and Peach:

Bob-omb, Kooper and Cheep-cheep:

I'm not sure what to do with the Paper Mario characters, my husband wants me to display them somewhere, so I'm thinking of getting a frame and doing some sort of backdrop for them. Any other ideas?
14  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Some shirts on: January 29, 2010 08:06:15 AM
Here are some shirts I've made in the past year. The first two are for me, the third is for my husband.

The fabric for the first and third ones was from Abakhan, the fabric from the second was from Ikea, and the great skull buttons I managed to find on ebay.

My brother wants a tiger shirt next!
15  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Jacket on: January 27, 2010 06:15:28 AM
Hi everyone,

This if my first post, but it's not my first sewing project.

This jacket was from a Burda magazine, and is fully lined with green lining to match the buttons.

I hope you like it!
16  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Help with Shrug pattern on: July 31, 2006 11:41:52 AM
Hello - I'm new here! I'm hoping that someone can help me with a problem I'm having with a crochet pattern I've recently started. It's this pattern:

It says it uses 3 balls of Artisano Alpaca, but I've just come to the end of the first ball, and I've only done the first 5 rows, and then row 2 and (nearly) 3. The pattern says to do rows 1 to 5 and then repeat rows 2, 3, 4 and 5 six times more. I'm not going to have enough yarn to finish!!

Has anyone done this shrug? This is my first proper crochet pattern, although I'm a fairly experienced knitter, so it could be that I'm just doing to crochet wrong!

There isn't any gauge information (is that the right term in crochet?!) in the pattern, so I can't really check if it's coming out the right size. It seems to be OK though, but it's hard to tell at the moment, as it's work from one cuff to the other...

Please help me!!!
