(Work sucks, I hate how you can only get time off for something like this only if they are imediate family) So I have no time to organize a swap. I am very sorry to everyone. So I went to a pettig zoo with the kids today. While I was there I asked if they still had the shearings left over from the llamas and sheeps. Well they didn't but they had about a pound of camel left. (Some lady already stole it up!!!  ) So I took that camel. I wash it just like sheep right?!? And has any one ever used it?!?

Thank you both!!  So far I've only worked on the top whorl. The circles slide off for easy yarn removal and i think they are both too lite so I had to put both circles on one. Top whorl is pretty easy. I can spin it by rolling it on my leg better. Not I just need to get more roving. I am totally getting addicted to it!!

So yesterday morning I woke up and had to urge to start spinning!!! For a week or so I have been looking at all your awesome yarns and such. So I picked my Butt up and went to the hardware store and purchased some things to make a spindle and to the local craft store to just get some 100% Carded Wool (Used mainly for felting but it worked well.) And here I am with two little balls of yarn. And super super happy!!!! I really want to start processing my out fibers now! Anyway on to the pictures:

Now here is a good question. How do you go about asking some one for their shearings?!? I would love to get into all of this. And I heard you can spin dog hair? My mom has a poodle and mentioned to me it would be funny to make yarn out of his fur.

I've signed up, but not sure if I qualify. If I do, is there anyone out there that wants to try Kombucha Tea? If so, I should have a nice new fresh baby scoby ready about that time. Even if I don't qualify, I'm willing to share my scobies...

You qualify but i do it once a day to keep my mind straight  What is Kombucha I am very willing to try this. It it like omish bread were every batch keaps getting re-used and grows?!

Hi I have always worked with sewing and crocheting. Lately I have been looking around this section more and more. I would really love to start spinning. I am a little broke lately and not ready to shell out 70 on some spinning book. I was also wondering is I buy to fibers carded or if I need to do that. So basically if ANYONE could help me out with cheaper books or website designed for a really new newbie. I found a site at one point that showed how to make a drop spindle with a cd and dowels. Any way. Please some one help me out. All your yarn is soooo gorgeous and I would love to know how it is done. Or if anyone has any books or alder equipment they have been thinking about getting rid of PM me and we might be able to figure something out!!

Is a "hot mitten" like a cup warmer that goes around a cup or more like a hot pad? Or something else entirely?

I've always called a hot pad a hot mitten. But the cup cozy thingy is a very good Idea.
