1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Lots of new necklaces, bracelets & earrings :D on: September 15, 2007 07:25:02 AM
Howdy!
These here are my new jewelry pieces. I'm pretty new to jewelry making but I'm uber proud of these.

(P.S.! that board isn't dity hahaha. well. it is, but it's nail polish...not like...dirt. ahhaha)

(THAT one has a charm on the end. one side says "love much" and the other side says "laugh often")

(Probably my favorite even though I messed up on it.)

2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / My first 2 necklaces! Pink & Turquoise :D on: August 21, 2007 08:34:34 AM
Howdy jewelers!
I'm new to jewelery making..actually these are my first two necklaces i've ever made (not counting the friendship bracelets I recall making when I was 8 hahah) anyway.
the first one I made with my friend. her grandma does a bunch of crafts and so we decided to make necklaces.
the second one is from a kit I got for my birthday back in may that I'm just now busting out.
Enjoy! I'm very proud of these Cheesy:D

3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / a colorful messenger bag made of felt on: August 02, 2007 06:14:17 PM
It's horribly hideous but I like it and it took me about 3 1/2 hours to put together. my thumb is killing me as I type this..but anyway. the orange part on the inside is a pocket for holding pencils seeing as during the school year I am always digging at the bottom of my bag for a pencil.
At first, I was going to make like, four squares of four colors for the base but at the last minute I decided against it and I'm glad I did because I probably won't be making another one of these for a long time...my poor lil thumb.  Cry
anyways, get ready because it's colorful. and hideous, as I've warned you before. hahahahahaha.
P.S. it doesn't match.
P.S.S. it's not lined. I wasn't sure how to go about doing that...beside, it's felt..
P.S.S.S. there's pieces of yarn that still need to be clipped, so yes, I am aware of that.

4  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / I'm upset I cannot take credit for this on: August 02, 2007 06:07:23 PM
My grandma has a lot of time on her hands since she is already retired so she went on a cross stitching spree and made baby blankets for all the girls in our family over age 12 for when they have babies. There's abouuttttt....10+ of us hahah, so she had her time doing them all. The first one she did by herself and the second one my mom started and finished about a fourth of it when she was pregnant about 3 years ago and gave it to my grandma to finish. That one was also handed down to me because my mom didn't give the blanket to my grandma until after my sister was born and by the time she finished it my sister was well off of baby blankets...anyway.
here's the one my grandma did alone:

and the one my mom started:

I'm glad one day my child will have these to snuggle Smiley
5  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / belt & wall hanger that makes my room an 8 yr. old's. on: July 30, 2007 06:34:46 PM
Well, I've been expanding my chrocheting knowledge, but my mom's no help at all, and i don't understand what i read in books, so i am left to bliptv and youtube  Wink
But I have one question, before I show you my projects I've been working on all week: when chroceting in a circle, say you wanted to make a ball, well you know how you put 2 stitches every other stitch, how do you decrease in order to create the sphere? Like, do you just skip a stitch? (oh god, that was probably the worst explanation ever...i hope somebody understand it...)

So, here is the belt that I've actually been working on and off on for like...six months hahah, but I just not got around to finishing it and I got a little carried away and ended up making it too big

please pay no mind to all the clutter collected on the floor..

and this is the wall hanger thingy that I made soley on the fact that my room already looks like an 8 year olds...this helps it ten-fold. hahah, but I like it. The circles have "drawings" on them. the first is a butterfly, beneath that is a smiley face, above that is the letter M for my name, and last is a heart...I ran our of ideas and it was small. hahah. I haven't gotten around to adding the finishing touches so it still has stray strands of yarn around it but I'll cut them off later.

TOODLES!
6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / I can be part of the D.A. if i want to :) on: July 26, 2007 11:12:43 AM
Yessss, another Harry Potter fan right here Grin
i found a bag i wanted online that dealt with the D.A. ecept that it was sadly more money than I could ever possibly have..so I went up to Wal-Mart and bought $1.25 worth of fabric and came up with my OWN D.A. bag.
I embroidered the letters on with thin yarny type stuff. and I was going to add on the flap on the outside H, S, G & R in the corners but I totally forgot about it once I made my bag, so Oh well. I'll prolly go around and add some sort of decoration somehow someway, but I haven't gotten around to it.
OH yeah! I found out I like ribon a LOT better than fabric for making straps. It's nice and firrrrrm Cheesy
Here's the pictures, hope you enjoy!

Of course it has a velcro closure
7  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / TANZANIAAAA (a pillow showing my love) on: July 09, 2007 08:50:06 PM
I whipped this lil buddy up today. It's the first time I've ever embroidered anything (excluding like 2 baby bibs cross stitching.) so puh-leeeeeease don't make me cry a lot.  Smiley
Well, it says "My heart is in Tanzania" with an outline of Tanzania on the left side. I've never actually been to Tanzania, but in all of my 16 years of life, about 5 of them have been spent wanting to visit there.

just a regular remote to show you about how big it is.

EDIT:
I just realized that I'm a complete ditz and I wrote Tanzania wrong on the pillow. hahahhaha. I'm planning on fixing it asap.
8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / mmhmm first dress that doesn't look like poo on: June 26, 2007 06:37:27 PM
mmmmm. i am excited. it's my first ever clothing item i'll probably wear outside of the privacy of my own home hehehe.

9  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / these seem to be getting veeerrrrry popular. on: June 23, 2007 10:55:15 PM
camera case! CHEEEEESE!  Grin Grin
I made this this night/morning.
and i'm wide awake
and it was my first time working with velcro and I have to say I'm extremely pleased with how it came out.

10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / what else is there to do at 130 a.m.? on: June 23, 2007 10:52:58 PM
finish up a top!
It's one of my first ones that I actually like from scrap. the front bust part or whatever is part of a pattern though because I didn't wanna take a chance and screw something up seeing as the fabric is basically scraps I got from a friend for my birthday. I'm still not sure that I like how it came out. i wish I would've gathered it instead... oh well. too late now.

p.s. the back is hemmed although it doesn't look like it..
also that's not a pucker from the side view. it's because i had to take it in because it was too big...unless that's the definiton of a pucker that you use. lol. either way....oh well. it's late (early?) hahaahah and i'm quite delirious as it is.
