I got angelled!!  Bronzfrog graciously stepped in to angel for me, and made me a surprise that she knew I had been hoping - an uber cool earring holder/tree/thingamabob!

It's made from a record!  AND.......... AND...... she knows i love dragonflies, so pay careful attention to the custom label in the center of the record - it's a beautiful dragonfly.

I've already put earrings in it, and it's hanging in m y bedroom - check this out, though!

I received yesterday from Sharyn62 - and it's hard to believe this is her very first swap!

Sharyn originally picked me for a little of this, little of that...... and put together this amazing package!

first up - squares for my craftster quilt, and a thread catcher (rubbish tidy for anyoneo down under)

then, Sharyn knew I was looking for a couple of the smaller size, longer length circular needles for my lace knitting obsession.... she had a couple that I was seeking AND a vintage hairpin lace loom/pin (whatever you call it!)

in the world where toilets flush backwards (also known as down under), these are now called twin pins (not circulars), and the little pamphlet on hints for their use was pretty funny - i guess i've been knitting my lace shawl to and fro!

and last, but absolutely not least!!  Sharyn made me a fabulous wall hanging... all blues, yellows and golds, and it just FEEL like an ocean-y sort of wall hanging...... complete with 2 channels in the back to slip onto a decorative rod and hang on the wall!

Sharyn, thank you so much for everything!  this was an amazing package!

Ally, thank you so much - this was FABULOUS!!

i got a box today.  a BIG box.  from norway.  Srylig lives in norway.  did you know that?   Grin
ok, so i open the box, which just about exploded at me!

and on top was this........

isn't that a pretty bag?  i love the green checked lining, and there's a pocket in there, and it closes with velcro, and and and....... and i already have 2 sets of sock yarn in there, for some projects I promised, as well as working out a sock pattern for a contest.  if i win, that's gonna be a whole lotta yarn......

and inside the bag was.......

this amazing fully lined zip pouch just perfect for my tiny snips, my stitch markers, all those little things you lose all the time! AND 2 sets of double pointed needles...... she must have heard about the contest to make socks......

and speaking of a whole lotta yarn........

there was some yarn in the box.   Grin

there was felting wool........ (and check out the twisty skeins, those are handspun, i think!)

and there was some sock yarn (she must have heard about the contest)

and some garn studio cotton.....

and then some mystery yarn (that's what srylig called it!)

i'm in yarn heaven, with a bag to carry some of it in! (cause there's no WAY it'll all fit in that bag!).  Syrlig put little tags with the different yarns, to help me know which ones were feltable, which ones were superwash, all of that kind of stuff...

Syrlig, thank you so much - this was great fun to receive today!

i received my wisty surprise from snowyangel today!!  she picked me for a wisty surprise, and BOY, was I surprised.

A new project bag (or it may be a toss everything in it purse, not sure yet), with a mickey stencilled on the outside, which is this nice soft jersey type fabric, and this amazing jewel toned shimmery fabric for the lining (complete with pocket)!

then she added in a couple of coffees (i think she's stoking up my caffeine addiction so she can hit me up for another knitted something or other), a sticky note pad (which i always need) and some fun stickers.

Snowy, thank you so much - this was SUCH a fun package to receive today!

I claimed Banga for a prayer shawl for her friend April, who's quite ill.

Banga received the package today, and has asked me to post photo so that she can keep the shawl wrapped until she delivers it tomorrow.

The shawl was actually a mystery shawl knit-along that I did.  But it was such a special shawl, it felt right to send it to Banga for her friend.

So here are pictures- it's a laceweight merino wool, light as a feather, but giving warmth:

Banga, I hope that April feels wrapped up in love and prayers from Wisconsin.

Too funny...... today, Twiz was asking me if her package to me had arrived.

and when i got home, there it was!

Check this out... mickey, a quilt, and while the photo doesn't show it, the quilting around the mickey in the middle (sounds like a game, doesn't it?) is HAND quilted!!  And i do believe that Ms. Twiz painted the mickey herself!

then, just to make sure that the box didn't have any empty air space, she sent me some cotton yarn that I had been asking about, and a Canadian Oh Henry (maple flavor, already snatched by my son, the darlin' child.... scuse me while i beat him into submission and take the candy back!)

I love my stuff, thank you Twiz.... but i have to ask.  Do you REALLY think it was fair to hermetically seal the box, then wrap it in shipping paper and hermetically seal that, too???  (i'm adding Geritol to my wish list, guys!)

LOL!!  ok, no geritol..... but it DID take a while to get the package open!

I knew it would happen this way - as soon as I ran off for the weekend, I get packages!

So my apologies for the late posting.... this came Friday or Saturday, I got it late Sunday night when I got home...

Catpants claimed me for hand spun yarn.  She can spin me yarn anytime she wants!  I love the colors, which pick up on the oceany type colors in my BR - browns, aquas, cream, all of it - and it's merino wool, so it's so soft i keep going over and stroking it.  ok, weird, i know, but this IS craftster-world, right?

Cat, thank you so much!  i love that you gave me the content and yardage in the note, so i can work out what pattern to use this for!

all i have to say is wow.  WOW.  WOWOWOWOW!!!

postman rings my buzzer, says i have a box.

18 pounds of box.

AsphaltQueen filled one of those wishes i've had for ages.... someone had posted, they took some of those old vintage wooden soda crates, and used them for yarn storage.  all those cubbies!

and AQ found some, AND claimed me for them, AND got them, AND got them shipped here, AND they arrived today!!  (prize for most AND's in one sentence?)

here's the before - you can see the rings from the soda bottles (yes, once i post these pictures, i'm off to scrub these out)

and here's what i'm doing with them - is this too cool?  LOL, my very own yarn store going on here!!

(and yes, that's only the smallest dent into my stash!)

AQ, thank you from the bottom of my heart to the top of my yarn stash - this was SO much fun today!
