1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / my first bag ^__^ on: August 14, 2006 02:04:18 PM
ok so i had this shirt that shrunk a little too much in the wash, so i decided to make a bag out of it. it's a pretty simple tote but i love it to death and i take it pretty much everywhere, haha.

i ran out of shirt for the second strap, so i just used the lining fabric to make it Tongue
here it is:

and the inside:

yay!
2  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / ernest would be proud on: August 01, 2006 08:42:48 PM
well... maybe not, because i made a pillow out of his face. i used an idea i saw in tease by sarah sockit and a shirt i got a few years ago at a bar/restaurant hemingway used to drink at before he killed himself.

3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / jewelry boxes i made a while ago on: August 01, 2006 04:53:55 PM
a few months ago i nabbed two of my dad's old cigar boxes and covered the outsides with wrapping paper and the insides with newsprint.

this first one is kinda ripply on the blue part, which i was kinda bummed about at first but now i don't mind it so much. and it was pretty much my first real craft so i'm kind of proud of it, haha. also one of the corners on the inside is kinda messed up because i closed it while the glue was still drying. either way i just wanted to show everyone Cheesy

this one isn't really being used as a jewelry box, but it's pretty much the same so here it is Smiley

the ransom-ish letters are rx bandits lyrics

i liked the design on the inside cover of this one so i left it uncovered
4  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / graduation cap fun! on: August 01, 2006 04:07:54 PM
a few days before my high school graduation, a few of my friends and i got together and painted our caps. i don't know if any of you have or will in the future, but around here we put the name of our college on it, and i was kind of psyched with how mine came out ^__^

during:

i tried working the top word from the middle to make sure it was centered, but it didn't exactly work 'cause there was a skinny letter I in there

done:

yay hampshire college! see, the only team the school has is an ultimate frisbee team called the red scare, so i figured i'd go communist for graduation Grin
