Gustav Clockopunk (One of my girlfriends called it clockopunk the first time she heard of it)
I <3 steampunk and I <3 owls.
I made him from brown fleece, and gave him a distinguished (to me, anyway!) costume- a pinstriped shirt, cravat, and wool vest. I got to use the word "cravat" in a sentence!
He is named Gustav after a character in the Max Quick series by Mark Jeffries- Book 2 is very steampunk in style. Lots of shiny futuristic gadgets set in historical New York city, complete with top hats.
Hi everyone! This is my first craft challenge ever and first on Craftster. Joining craft challenges was actually a resolution of mine. I found this topic extremely difficult! I couldn't think of any one craft.
This year I got tired of always trying to reinvent myself and make "a new and better me" year after year. SO, my resolution is to get to like the current me I wanted to explore my current abilities, challenge myself and see what I can achieve. Not to try and be better, but to just learn to be myself. My entry is a digital scrapbook of my goals, challenges and progress for the year.
All of my digital elements are either handdrawn or digital freebies, from various sites around the internet. I couldn't possibly list them all, but there is some beautiful stuff out there. At the end of the year, as my reward I will have the book printed through Shutterfly as a gift to myself!
Some of the pages I didn't fill in completely, so that I can still work on them as I complete projects. That way, this craft will keep me motivated throughout the year. I am excited already about it! And happy myself with the way it turned out already. I've never used so much color in any craft! They aren't exactly all "matchy matchy"... but I kind of had fun making them all different. Just like my year will be!
Hi everyone, I just discovered craftster this summer, and this is my first post. It's a fall accent pillow I made today. The inspiration came from BHG's Holiday Crafts magazine, but I changed it a bit. Hope you like it!
And just for fun, here's a wreath I made last weekend. $12 total for supplies from Michael's.
Hope you like them! I'm hoping to see lots of other fall ideas on here!
