11  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Discussion and Questions / Re: Sculpey baked to ceramic mug? on: May 19, 2013 09:03:40 AM
You can also bake on ceramic it won't hurt anything as its a high fire clay. I have however found if you don't cover the item completely with polymer clay there is a better chance it will fall off, so you may need to use some glue first. I have used Sobo glue successfully. Also if you are going to put hot liquid in the mug it could also make the clay come off. Just something to think about.

12  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Discussion and Questions / Re: Image transfer to fimo beads on: May 19, 2013 09:00:39 AM
If you are transferring onto the clay with a rubbing method and the clay is raw you will definitely distort the holes, however if you are using Magic Transfer Paper you can put the holes in first as you don't have to rub the paper to get it to transfer, you just apply it and then rinse the paper away.

15  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Discussion and Questions / Re: Polymer and Fabric/New Era Introducing on: August 16, 2012 06:00:01 AM
I have soaked liquid clay into cotton fabric and it create an oil cloth type of feel. Its very cool as you can cut it into any shape and die cut it, the sky is the limit. Good luck!
16  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Discussion and Questions / Re: Specific finishing glaze YOU use... on: October 22, 2008 08:59:35 AM
I use Future Floor Wax, its easy and pretty inexpesive. You can put it on your items before or after you bake them. Have fun!
17  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Discussion and Questions / Re: Pasta Machine Making Bubbles Worse in Polymer. on: October 14, 2008 04:57:47 AM
I would recommend rolling the clay flat with your roller and popping whatever bubbles are in the clay before you run it through the pasta machine. That should help eliminate some.

18  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Discussion and Questions / Re: Sculpey flexible after being baked on: June 15, 2008 04:28:17 AM
All of the brands of polymer clay have some flexibility after baking and are not easily broken unless of course you bend them in half or are using Sculpey.LOL
I would not put a glaze back in the oven but you can use Future floor wax and put that back in the oven for a nice shine. Good luck!

19  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Discussion and Questions / Re: Amaco Pasta Machine on: June 15, 2008 04:25:11 AM
That happens a lot with all pasta machines, try running a baby wipe through the rollers to help clean them. The Amaco is a cheaper model of the pasta machines so it is not one of the best ones. I have had the best luck with the Atlas machines. Good luck!

20  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Discussion and Questions / Re: Clay that hardens as it dries? on: June 15, 2008 04:22:55 AM
I would suggest Lumina brand air dry clay. It is translucent but if I remember correctly it can get wet. Good luck!
We did a show where we used it and if you scroll down to where it says videocasts on the right hand side of the site on our site, you can view all the past shows.
