1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Fur coat closures - metal, hinge on: November 16, 2010 06:46:55 PM
My roomate was asking me the specific name for the heavy metal fixtures, like a clasp, that close fur jackets.  She described them as similar to a latch clasp but with a hinge and definitely metal.  She doesn't know the proper term for them (and neither do I) and has been unsuccesful in trying to buy them online.  If anyone could either direct us to a site that sells them or tell us the name of them, it would be greatly appreciated!
2  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Princess Bride Round 2 Gallery on: March 14, 2010 10:43:41 PM
Oh dear - somebody needs to tell me what I'm doing wrong!  I tried to upload some teasers for my partner using the Craftster Photo Hosting and... well... not so much.  Technologically unfriendly person!

Lufah... perhaps we could ''talk?'' ::waggles eyebrows innapropriately::

Actually, seriously, I have two or three boxes of anatomy slides left, and I''m looking for something for me.  My next thing I wanted to make with them involves having a loooooooooot more, and I don''t think I''ll be getting more anatomy slides anytime soon!  I was thinking maybe a landscape theme would work better (although if I had thought about doing it before I had done the curtains, I would have connected heads, shoulders knees and toes!)
Anyways, PM me if you maybe wanna swap some.

I am so glad I'm not the only who does these kinds of things with old slides!  The book buddy sale at my campus sells the old stuff from the library, and last year it was anatomy slides.  My chiropractic friends who are roomates love their new curtains Cheesy

I am glad the deadline got extended!  I'm still on track to finish on time, but midterms are this coming week!  I got project one done, project two has grown in length and breadth and I don't even want to talk about it!  Third is going to be finished by the end of this weekend.
And i just bought myself some gorgeous fabric for when I'm done this swap, so that I can spoil myself!  It is going to rock!!
Oh... to be so carefree again is nice.  Now if only my roomates would help with my destressing!

I have so many ideas!  I'll be super-excited when I get my partner, because it'll be a challenge to me to create something purely decorative and I have so many great ideas for something functional!  Either way, I'll have lots of fun stuff to do!
