1  COOKING / Vegetarian / Vegan / Re: Anything with Tofu on: August 08, 2011 11:55:38 AM
This is the BEST way to cook tofu. I use all different spice combos for marinating and it always turns out so delicious -- and I'm not talking about the salsa. If you use the method to cook the tofu, you can use it in almost anything -- salads, tacos, stir fry....or just straight from the pan to your mouth, which is often how I consume it. Smiley

I got my package today and it couldn't have come at a better time! My apartment flooded on tuesday and was declared uninhabitable!  My boyfriend and I had to move everything to a ne place in just over 24 hours and he's working nights so it's been kind of a nightmare for both of us. Kpuppy's package arrived when I really needed a boost and I couldn't love it more. I will post pics in the gallery just as soon as I unpack my camera.

OH MY! I'm so sorry I didn't see this sooner!! Cheebz, I hope you are ok and I'm glad you like everything. Take your time on the pictures.

Well, I received my package from Cheebz. I knew from looking at her past posts that she would come up with something amazingly creative, and she did not disappoint me.

Now, remember, my camera was stolen, so these are cell phone pictures. I'm sure Cheebz can clarify with better pictures if need be.

First, my new apron. I told Cheebz that my shirt always gets soaked when I do dishes. What I didn't mention was that I'm probably the messiest person on the planet, so this is perfect for me. Smiley

This and...

this were tucked into the pockets of the apron Smiley

This is the purchased cookbook. I've never heard of it, but it is incredibly cool. It's one of those books that you want to read cover to cover before you make a single thing...the coolest part is this:

It says "Do not pull", so naturally I immediately pulled it and this is what happens:

Finally, the creme de la creme as they say, the crafted book. She really went all out!

It's called "Wild Cats: The eating habits of libidinous women" and it has pictures of pin-up girls all through it. It is SO my style!

I've been wanting a veggie burger recipe!

My favorite page of the book.

A little pocket at the back of the book with extra recipes tucked in the back.

Thanks a lot, Cheebz. It's really a great, great package!

Got an amazing package from Cheebz on Friday, but didn't open it until today because I was out of town. It's super cool, and I'm going to post some pictures (the best I can do with my cell) here after work today.

Thanks so much Cheebz! I absolutely adore it, and I've never been so pumped to do dishes Wink

For some reason, everything happened in the world to prevent me from sending out my package for this swap. I finally have sent out, though, and I'm terribly embarassed because I was such a horrible swap partner.

However, I received the most AMAZING package from Cheebz when I arrived back from my weekend out of town today. It is lovely, really. I can't really take great pictures, because one of the horrible circumstances was that my camera was stolen while in the midst of this swap.

I'm going to take some crappy pictures with my phone tonight for the gallery, I really want everyone to see what a great job she did.

I am MOST DEFINITELY going to send out tomorrow for SURE...RIGHT at the deadline. Sorry I haven't been around much....been SO busy studying for a big exam I have to take to get licensed for work. I've been working on this swap here and there, but honestly this deadline snuck up on me. Should just take me today and a bit tomorrow morning to 'sew up the loose ends' (both figuratively and literally) and I can send!

EEK! I have to finish my halloween costume, too!

I'm just going to put extra recipes in mine. I've decided not to care about the pictures at all, but I have a veritable TON of recipes that I want to include so....

YAY! I'm having fun with this swap. I'm slow (read: Meticulous), so I hope nobody expects my package to go out more than a couple of days early.

One very exciting note....

Last Christmas, my mother made my sister and I cookbooks of all of my grandmothers old recipes that we love from when we were kids. She actually scanned the recipes into the computer and printed them out for us. A bunch of these recipes will be perfect to use, and I'm excited to pass them on!!!

WHEW! I'm glad to hear that lack of pictures isn't a total let down. On a happier note, I've found an AMAZING tute for a ____________ that I know Cheebz could use, so I'm REALLY excited to start on that!
