Did you customize the ribbon or was it just like this before?
Looks great.
23  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Re: Let's see your sewing machine!! on: December 11, 2006 02:56:26 AM
I use/share Mamas Pfaff Hobby 301:

I guess its older than ten years, but younger than fifteen. I can remember that it was one of the less expensive Pfaffs.
Most things I do with it is changing the lenghth of jeans etc.(and Im really sick about this), so I dont have enough time for other sewing projects.
24  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: lumberjack tote! sweeet. on: December 11, 2006 02:40:31 AM
Thats definitely better than a pencil skirt.
Great idea, especially because of the two no-sew extra pockets on the outside...and great button  Cheesy.
25  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / jewelry box on: December 10, 2006 02:56:55 PM
Shocked A real jewelry box, completely reconstructed!
The box was actually for shoes, the floral fabric a skirt and the velvet an old curtain.
Additionally I used lots of cardboard, a mirror from an empty powder box, velvet ribbon and my fabulous hot glue gun.

To compare:

I spend quite a lot of hours on my box, but it was not really difficult.
Im sorry if the photos look kind of shabby (Dear Santa, wont you buy me a real camera?!)...

27  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: What about the husbands/boyfriends/partners? on: December 04, 2006 03:09:31 AM
As long as my boyfriend does not spend a lot of money on my gift, hell receive crafted items.
Some examples of holiday/ birthday gifts I made him:
- First year, first holidays: Hell received a cigar box shrine ("how we met"). He lived at his parents house and we were both smoking in his room. To protect the rest of the house of drawing smoke (his mother was not amused), I made a long cushion to place in front of his door ( I called it "Hausfrieden - peacemaker for home").
- He received several collages made of old tapes.
- I painted him a zombie-themed shirt (posted on the stencil section).
- A magnetic message board made of bottle cans (its really huge - hundreds of caps)
- I sewed a voodoo-doll.
etc.
When I was too tired of crafting presents, I fed his vinyl-addiction.
This year Im going to sew him a greyhound (he wants to buy one next year - the dogs name will be "Berger") and paint him a calender.

I agree, this is the perfect theme for the next challenge.
29  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Re: Aaarrggghh so very ANNOYING!! on: December 03, 2006 11:41:52 AM
Well, I just ended up having a crying fit all over the damned sewing machine of my mums, I can speak German, but I'm awful at reading it, the machine is around 35 years old and the instructions are all in German so I just gave up on it. I don't think I ever want to make anything ever again.

Hi, have you managed it already (well, late post, sorry...)?
If  there are still problems with the instructions post it in the German section or send me a personal message.
Im German. I even use a German sewing machine (Pfaff).
Dont worry, I can imagine how hard "35-year-old-instrunctions-German" must be for foreign speakers...
