I live in Mainz.
There´s a fabric outlet store in Mainz-Kastel (which is a part of Wiesbaden):
Stoffe-Lagerverkauf
Boelckestraße 62

Mon-Fri   09:30-18:30
Sat        09:30-14:00

Craft supplies/fabrics are available at Kartstadt (department store in Mainz).

There are two yarn-shops in Mainz (near "Römerpassage" shopping mall).

Miscellaneous craft supplies (scrapbooking, painting, quilting...) are available at Listmann (department stores in Wiesbaden and Mainz).

Kids love water games.

Prepare water pistols, balloons filled with water (water bombs?...sorry, I´m German) and small inflated pools.

Don´t forget to mention the water games in the invitations (swimwear/dry clothes to change).

The decoration might be inspired by Spongebob, if your daughter likes him.

Yummy pudding-beach: Fill half of a bowl with vanilla pudding, add transparent pudding ( that shaky one...lack of vocabulary  Huh) and decorate it with matching candy and cocktail sunshades.

Cheesy Where has my vocabulary gone? I hope you´re not completely clueless...

Good luck and a great party!

I gave my boyfriend a memory board made of beer bottle caps.
Pro: It´s totally simple. Glue them on a thin wooden board and add some diy-magnets.
Con: You need a lot of them. Try to collect enough at a party.

What about costumized flip-flops?
A matchbox- or tin-shrine (photos, shells, colored sand, cocktail sunshades...)?
