And do you perhaps mean "waterproofing" instead of "impregnating" agent?  Something to protect the paint from water and such?   Wink
Yes, I do. In German its "Imprgnier-Spray" and I look it up in a dictionary (ok, I probably should have used my Longman but I was so too lazy, so I took my smaller one which is about thirty years old... Cheesy) and thats what I found.
By the way, it worked.

How did you paint it so neatly, though? The lines are so crisp!

It was hard because theres something like a tribal pattern stitched onto the shoes. I wore them a week before I started painting to get the crappy faux leather (feels like plastic) smoothier. That didnt worked out, so now there are cracks on the surface...
I used a pencil to draw my pattern onto the shoes. First I tried to do it all freehanded, but it was too difficult on the curvy surface. So I made stencils for the deers and birds. I did a lot of mistakes but it was easy to correct the lines with white acrylic paint (this will only work on bright white shoes).
What else can I say...you should be calm and paint in a quiet atmosphere.

My intention was something like a "second-glance-effect" (Huh)...

That would be a 'doubletake' in English. Wink

Oh, thank you. Corrections are always welcome.

Thank you!

did you color them in, or keep 'em black and white?
Ill keep them like this. The paintings are just visible if you take a side view. My intention was something like a "second-glance-effect" (Huh)...

I proudly present my new winter shoes (20)...
By the way, can anyone tell me how this kind of fastening is called in English?

This was my sketchbook pattern:

I used black acrylic paint (I also had white to do corrections). Hope it will stay...

On the inside:

Ill try to seal them with impregnating agent tomorrow. Hope this works.
I cant wait to wear them!
