I always am throwing away mad amounts of c.d.'s that don't burn properly & have the feeling it isn't just me.  The backs of them are so pretty & shiny that I've always daydreamed of refinishing something with them.  A table, a wall, who knows?  It would be cool to see what people come up with.  Tongue

Made a new one today with smaller hook & added cheap charm from a name necklace.  Sister bought them to make into something else & it never had a use till now.  :-D  One thing though, although the smaller hook made the bag sturdier, it also made it bulkier in the seams & harder to sew.  Hmmmmm.

Thanks for the compliments, guys  Grin    I guess I should explain how the skirts done....although maybe it's self-explanatory?  Anyway, I started single crochet which became the length of the skirt, you know, from waist to knee.  I'm not so hot about my knees showing just under a skirt hem, looks funny to me, hahaha.  K, so then I again single crocheted the edges together to form a seam up the back.... (should have taken a picture of the back because there is a seam there.  But it adds character dangit!)  Wait, what was I doing again?   Okay yeah, so theres a seam up the back & then there needed something on the bottom so I just upped the hook size a bit & started crocheting in rounds around the bottom until it got a comfortable length.  (I did try the thing on quite a few times in the process to make sure I could sit & all that normal stuff.   Cheesy  Last step is the super-easy draw-string (to allow for belly fluctuations & whatnot)  which is quite obviously just a few rows of :::gasp::: single crochet again!  Weave it through the convenient natural holes in the fabric & HOOT_HOOT!!!!  There it be!   ***Oh, & the little phone bag was easy too.  The strap is just sewn onto the sides with black thread.  Sooo, I guess the moral of this story is this...   "Getting sick of scarves?  Who cares that you only know one stitch, things can be done!" Although last week I taught myself 2 new ones.  Double & Berry stitch.  I'm feeling encouraged!   Cheesy

Okay, here's mine (work in progress).  I'm going to fill in the little gaps with some kind of blue stone chips & more rhinestones.  :-D

Hello craftyheads!  This is my first post...... my pics kinda suck, sorry bout that!  Maybe this is even the wrong spot to post although I'm sure someone will tell me, hehe.  :-D   I'm showing 2 views of a crocheted phone purse (charm is not a part of bag) & 2 of the skirt.  The skirt is a bit impractical & kinda see-through but I think it turned out okay for a no-plan project.  Hmmm, now let's see me actually wear it outside the bedroom!  Maybe the beach........

lucky for me this pic is the fuzziest!  :-P
