Thanks for the compliments, guys
I guess I should explain how the skirts done....although maybe it's self-explanatory? Anyway, I started single crochet which became the length of the skirt, you know, from waist to knee. I'm not so hot about my knees showing just under a skirt hem, looks funny to me, hahaha. K, so then I again single crocheted the edges together to form a seam up the back.... (should have taken a picture of the back because there is a seam there. But it adds character dangit!) Wait, what was I doing again? Okay yeah, so theres a seam up the back & then there needed something on the bottom so I just upped the hook size a bit & started crocheting in rounds around the bottom until it got a comfortable length. (I did try the thing on quite a few times in the process to make sure I could sit & all that normal stuff.
Last step is the super-easy draw-string (to allow for belly fluctuations & whatnot) which is quite obviously just a few rows of :::gasp::: single crochet again! Weave it through the convenient natural holes in the fabric & HOOT_HOOT!!!! There it be! ***Oh, & the little phone bag was easy too. The strap is just sewn onto the sides with black thread. Sooo, I guess the moral of this story is this... "Getting sick of scarves? Who cares that you only know one stitch, things can be done!" Although last week I taught myself 2 new ones. Double & Berry stitch. I'm feeling encouraged!
