1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / How does one convert picture to pattern? on: March 21, 2007 08:52:25 AM
I've seen on the forums that many bright ladies and gents have converted pics they like into stitch patterns.

I'm new to embroidery/stitchery (I don't know any terminology whatsoever... yet) and would like to experiment with my own designs once I get the basics down.

How does one convert the picture to a graph or whatnot?
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / zebra-print bikini set (completed w/links to pics) on: March 21, 2007 07:48:04 AM

I used Cascade Fixation in Harlequin.  It's mostly cotton with like 1.5% elastic, and it is incredible yarn.

The straps are i-cords, and this was knit on US 6 needles.  Probably an XS-S; however, bustier items are on the needles!

3  Texas / Texas: North Central / YARN store in Fort Worth (camp bowie) on: August 29, 2006 06:05:18 PM
There is a fabulous yarn store at 4111 Camp Bowie:  Yarns Ewenique.
Go there.
No joke.
