you know those metal decorative trees that take up less than a cubic foot of space? they tend to hold pictures on their branches? you could hang the loops on the end of the branches. does that make any sense?
I have to agree with homebunnyj, I don't know that the dress selected would necessarily be flattering. I've had dresses similar in construction to that particular dress, and they haven't worked out optimally. I personally try to stick with fitted dresses. But hey, what works for me may not be best for you.
i like purevitality's idea for a day trip. you might pick places that you usually don't want to go, maybe that y'all fight over sometimes because he wants to go there and you don't. (i know i have places like that.) just pick out things that are alll about him--who knows, maybe next time he'll surprise you!
2) I don't believe blocking is necessary with the nature of this yarn. It's partially elastic and very wearable. It's on a mannequin right now, and she's having no trouble with it! (Of course, I haven't dumped her in a pool.. but still, I'm confident that this yarn will hold up.) I talked to the owner of my local yarn shop, and she also feels this is perfect yarn for swimsuits.
3) to answer Hippie9's question, I purchased this yarn several times at Yarns Ewenique on 4111 Camp Bowie in Fort Worth, TX. They don't have an online yarnshop, I don't think, but maybe you could arrange something with them! Here is their phone number: (817) 732-3099
