5  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Tips for Participating in Craft Fairs / Re: Pricing for Craft Fair on: April 02, 2007 06:27:38 PM
DsgndbyRJ, I like that pricing formula!  It is a keeper.  Thanks!

Roxypop287, I think your pricing is pretty swell, though I haven't seen the items myself.  I would think about making the clutches $20 to be in the same range as the other items.

Good luck!

you know those metal decorative trees that take up less than a cubic foot of space?  they tend to hold pictures on their branches?
you could hang the loops on the end of the branches.
does that make any sense?

i hope it does.  Cheesy
7  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Discussion and Questions / Re: How Hard Would This Be To make on: March 29, 2007 05:56:24 AM
I have to agree with homebunnyj, I don't know that the dress selected would necessarily be flattering.  I've had dresses similar in construction to that particular dress, and they haven't worked out optimally.  I personally try to stick with fitted dresses.  But hey, what works for me may not be best for you.
8  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Re: pricing your goods on: March 29, 2007 05:52:46 AM
i'm dealing with the exact same problem, and I honestly have very little advice to impart.  But I do wish you the best of luck!  It's not easy!   Smiley
9  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: Just because I love you gifts. on: March 26, 2007 05:47:15 AM
what kinds of things is he into?  hobby-wise?

i like purevitality's idea for a day trip.  you might pick places that you usually don't want to go, maybe that y'all fight over sometimes because he wants to go there and you don't.  (i know i have places like that.)  just pick out things that are alll about him--who knows, maybe next time he'll surprise you!

Answers to some questions:

1) A pattern is definitely on its way!

2) I don't believe blocking is necessary with the nature of this yarn.  It's partially elastic and very wearable.  It's on a mannequin right now, and she's having no trouble with it!  (Of course, I haven't dumped her in a pool.. but still, I'm confident that this yarn will hold up.)  I talked to the owner of my local yarn shop, and she also feels this is perfect yarn for swimsuits.

3) to answer Hippie9's question, I purchased this yarn several times at Yarns Ewenique on 4111 Camp Bowie in Fort Worth, TX.  They don't have an online yarnshop, I don't think, but maybe you could arrange something with them!  Here is their phone number:  (817) 732-3099

Thanks for the interest!~
