It's bad when you don't realize the month has changed until you read somebody saying "I need to get my June list up."

The teacher quilt is awesome, the eyeless bear is sweet (and won't leave marks if he falls asleep facedown on it as mine were wont to do), and all y'all make me jealous with all this awesome crafting. And all these swaps!!!

I would have loved this as a teacher gift, especially when I left the classroom. How wonderful!

It's wonderful! And...it would be a smashing baby room with all those brights and blacks! Smiley

it's reaally sweet! How nice of you to figure it out at your friend's request, too!

(I'd love a tutorial, too. My daughter's group of teen friends is always looking for something to do together so they'll all have the same hand-crafted accessory!)

WOW~

Just saw something on tv (maybe Sunday Morning on CBS?) about how handmade bras like this sell for about $150 in France. And those were just mass-produced (still by hand, but without any reference to their future owner's physique).

Bespoke and beautiful bras could be the next "boutique" item out there...
9  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: needlepunch journal cover on: May 25, 2011 08:26:27 PM
Thanks, y'all. It really is very hyptnotic and easy. You should try it!

RobbieKW, I use a long-gone Bates needle and threader--it's slim like a pencil and very lightweight.  I think I know what you're talking about, though. Look carefully at the second photo in the slide show on this kind of needle: does your thread look like this? [http://www.forcraftssake.net/image.aspx?storename=forcraftssake&ItemID=10030603

If so, I think I can find the one similar to it (dial-a-punch type) in a box in my attic.  It used to have (may still have?) a holder that puts the spools of fuzzy thread at the end of the punch tool. I found that it is a little heavy for me to manage so I never used it much. Does this look right?

Love love LOVE the inside note. What a keepsake! Yet it's trendy and cute enough to carry for years, too. Great idea, and lovely work!
