21  Mr Eugene Krabs in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by irish_chicky on: August 12, 2009 02:42:54 PM
So I was one of the very lucky people that got to test out the Eugene Krabs crochet pile of flesh designed by mama24boyz.

I was so excited, mostly because I eat the Spongebob show ... and have every box set *cough cough* but as soon as I saw him I knew my baby to be would eat him!!!

Presenting Mr. Eugene Krabs, owner of The Krabby Patty and lover of money!

Front

Back

With his new friend

And in the baby room to be with his other rambunctious comrads

He was so fun to make. A few miner changes, I made him sit instead of stand, because just as I was putting on Mr. Krabs legs he said.

"Alas me gal, those be m'legs, if ye put them on that way I wont be able to count me money at me desk!"

So I gratiously made him sit, and if he ever has to move, he just hollers and I take him where he needs to go, but that money counting seems to be a full time job Tongue

And I opted not to put his eye lids on just cause I think he looks better without.

What do you all think? I'm very happy with how he turned out.

oh and here is a picture of him from the show so you can see what he looks like

I made him sit rather then stand so it was easier to put on a shelf, plus who wants to stand all day and night Tongue I also opted not to put the eyelids on him I think he looks better without.

Isnt he just the most adorable thing you have ever seen

23  Re: Help decorating living room in apartment in Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions by irish_chicky on: July 22, 2009 12:23:57 PM
thanks for the replys guys.

SoI just moved all my furniture around.... excuse the mess I still have to put randoms away, and this is what i have so far

The table that is by the couch isnt staying I have a natural wood, oval table that is going on the other side of the couch, and the chair that is beside the couch will be used at the table.

I'm still a undecided about the chest, if I want to paint it and pad the top but still use it as a coffee table or get a whole new table all together.

What do you think?

24  Help decorating living room in apartment in Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions by irish_chicky on: July 15, 2009 10:53:07 AM
So I'm trying to declutter and baby friendly my livingroom and make it look nice at the same time. My other trouble is I can't paint, and I can only hang pctures etc with finishing nails, so nothing heavy. I need multi functional furniture aswell. Also it have to be a livingroom/dining room (table to sit atleast 4).

Ok so this is a basic diagram of my livingroom with measrments

here's a link to the pic to see it betterhttp://s3.photobucket.com/albums/y91/irish_chicky/?action=view&current=livingroom.jpg

And here are some pictures of what it looks like now, sorry for the mess, I've been sick and had no energy to do major clean ups.

a few other notes. the desk is not staying.I dont need it anymore, and the trunk by the tv stand is getting moved into the babies room. The wingback chair and futon are staying in this room, but other then that I need a new coffee table, or ideas how to make my wooden trunk nicer and more baby friendly, a small dining table and chairs and some storage.

I need ideas on furniture and placement of furniture.

Any ideas at all would be hugely apprciated!

Thanks

25  Hand Pincushion in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by irish_chicky on: August 30, 2008 04:52:30 AM
I'm not sure if this is in the right place, but it's plush, and oh so bizzare

I'm doing the pin cushion swwap and I had a bizarre idea for a pincushion, which was great because my partner said she had a weird sence of humor.

I traced my hand, cut it out of felt, put it all together and this is what I got.

[/img]

It can be tied around your sewing mchine or your wrist. I pla on making and selling these and other bizzaro pincushions!!

What do you think?

28  Re: Share your Mess...Then let's clean it up! in Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions by irish_chicky on: August 19, 2008 08:50:34 AM
ok so my husband and I bought a house and I have my very own craft room. Well it started out going to be a guest room too, but then we got a futon, so it didnt matter anymore Tongue

So my room is still a mess and I am slowly in the process of cleaning it up.

This is origionally what it looked like, the mess, the inflatable bed os on the left sitting ontop of clear tubs for extra storage, and, well.... you can see the rest.

So this is it now, I literally just took pics. I added in some more storage, there is a cabinet and a bookshelf ontop of the chest. I think I need more baskets. Also, you can't see it, but where you see the chair in the first pic, I made an "office space" I took an old table top and proped it up on 4 clear tubes, that were under the bed originally.

So this is the plan, I have our old kitechen counter in there as a table right now, but it kinda bows in the center due to weight, so I have an old white door that I am going to use instead, which is a little smaller. Eventually this will get painted fun colors. I have a boarder to go up around the room to put up. The selving all needs to be organized, still at a loss how, but it will work I'm sure. Umm, yeah, that's as for as I've gotten Tongue

Any suggestions?

Oh I put a book shelf thing in the closet as well for more storage which a lot of my shipping materials are going to go, along with my hand bags and completed projects that I am going to be selling.

29  drab bench to fab!!! in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by irish_chicky on: August 18, 2008 02:51:15 PM
So we bought a house and the previous owner left this bench behind on the front porch that looked really bad, yellowing, faded the works, so I decided to stain it and repaint it. here's some pics. enjoy

I started taking it apart before I remembered to take pics so this is it on it's side, with the top boards already taken off

gross yellowing of the paint/faded boards

wood all stained!

my hubby helping me reconstruct!

and finally my brand new beautiful bench. I used dark brown stain on the wood, and a stone look spray paint on the metal part.

and me sitting on it

Hey guys, I saw all your great pages and thought I might join in, if that ok with you!

Here's my first page, it's a newspaper clipping of my husband and I just after we were married, and, water colored and embellished.

The saying at the bottom is "only God could take two people who've never met, and guide them gently into each other's arms."

what do you think??
