2  Space Magenta from Rocky Horror in Halloween Costumes by the-artful-dodger on: January 03, 2007 06:05:31 PM
so i wanted to be something from rocky horror but not something that had been done to death so i decided to be space magenta...most people thought i was a trekkie or something but oh well.
i used some weird gold material that was like vinyl or something and some clear plastic stuff which i spray painted black.

thanks for looking!
PEACE

3  Re: I Need Ideas And Suggestions For A Hollywood Themed Party in Party Planning by the-artful-dodger on: August 28, 2006 11:32:37 PM
our drama club had a hollywood themed banquet and basically we did everything in red black and white.people had to dress up as some famous movie star, musician or movie character (i was bjork...with the swan) we made all the center pieces to look like movie reels, loud speakers, and clapboards (they're made from cardboard ribbon spools and paint) sorry the picture's crappy but i wasnt aiming for the centerpeice when i took it.
i set up a backdrop so people could take memory pictures.

i believe we had a red carpet at the entrance and a sign that said hollywood above the door.also, a black and white balloon arch looks good AND occupies space which is always good.
for favors we bought small plastic champagne glasses, glued tiny bowties on the stems and filled them with kisses.
put cardboard stars all over the place, it looks really nice.
we always do a hall of fame thing, with a voting ballot and the winner of each category gets a gift that matches the category.i.e. most ditsy got a can of chicken of the sea (jessica simpson=ditsy)  you get the idea.get a projector if it's possible and show a movie or a slideshow of everyone. as someone else said, you could have your parents or someone stand around with cameras and be annoying paparazzi.as far as themed food goes, i'd say don't worry about it other people won't care but if you really want you can make chocolate dipped strawberries that look like tuxedos or cookies that look like film reels.

Basically you can do anything with this theme so it's pretty easy and can be very low budget if you make everything.

4  MANY earrings...real horrorshow (MANY pictures!) in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by the-artful-dodger on: August 21, 2006 09:53:06 PM
So, i made a few earrings and decided to post them finally some of them aren't reconstructed earrings but i didn't want to put them in separate posts.

so here are my earrings made from a tiny deck of cards that were missing a few

here is a lonely earring made out of a disco ball christmas ornament

this is an earring made from an old answering machine tape

these are my favorite earrings, made from femo clay them painted. they used to be in a lovely postition, like the hands in michael angelo's "the creation of adam" but everyone thought they were showing a particular finger. ironically, both of those figers broke off.

these are just little paint palettes of balsa, i could have done much better on them...but i didn't

and a mini sharpie

and yet another pair of ornaments

okay i'm done for now sorry about the crappy quality of the pictures but thanks for looking. PEACE

5  The EVERYTHING jacket... in CHALLENGE 14 ENTRIES by the-artful-dodger on: August 03, 2006 03:59:02 AM
SO this is my first time so i don't know what i'm doing...anyway i'm obsessed with tiny things so instead of making my usual (tiny sushi out of femo) i decided to make a replica of my everything jacket and black hoodie(my two favorite articles of clothing, even though i live in Hawaii). All the pins and patches on my jacket are on the little jacket.I wanted it to be smaller but i did this in 2 days.i hope it is to your liking.
SORRY MY PICTURES ARE SO BLURRY

so here's my precious

and here's the tiny replica:

here's a close up detail of the embroidered sleeve and the actual sleeve

and of course a couple for scale

so yeah...PEACE
