41  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / First applique on: September 11, 2006 08:34:27 PM
Well i got this sweater for free b/c it had a broken zipper but i also don't have "K" anywhere in my name so i knew this would be a project. I decided to add a felt heart(with the machine it was tricky ), added the buttons then sewed her up part way. I think she turned out okey dokey....

42  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Bum ugly shorts to flirty skirt!! on: September 08, 2006 11:57:54 AM
This is my first skirt attempt and i really like it. Its fun to twirl and oh so comfy. The shorts are a womens large or XL that my mom got for free and wouldn't dare wear them herself. I used grey jersey knit(looks khaki aggainst the blue) i previously had and VOILA!
Tell me good or bad what cha think.

Dunno if any of you have been to Hancocks recently but there's going to be a 1 and half hour free holiday showcase for decorating and gift giving done by Sheila Reinke. You can bring your cameras and it's free but they do ask you call ahead and make a reservation so they can gather enough chairs.

44  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Dog coat for my Lab on: August 19, 2006 09:14:04 PM
Well our family black Lab is part husky and alittle heavy so no store bought coats fit her, not too mention larges never do fit large dogs. So i made our family dog a coat specific for her. Inside is flleece, outside flannel pj pants, secured by velcro. Got the pattern idea from link below, but i really didn't use too much of it and i added an extra stomach strap because her bare tummy gets cold the most. : http://www.sewing.circleofcrafters.com/clothinginstructions.html
Enjoy!

45  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / First recon: Baggy blouse to cute top with added flower :D on: August 18, 2006 08:13:26 PM
Well i found this blouse made out of beautiful material at a thrift store but it had 2 buttons missing and was very baggy and out of date so I made it into something wearable. I also made a flower attachment on the right shoulder with a button for the centre.
Opinons and comments wanted since this is my first recon. Keep up the creativity guys!! *love*

47  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Garage sale find to stylin' table runner! on: August 16, 2006 09:21:37 PM
This is my first project and somewhat embroidery attempt. I found this plan boring pink table runner at a garage sale for 50 cents. Well some black material, black and some gold thread changed all that! Please tell me your opinions. Thanks!

48  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / What can an empty 10 gallon aquarium be turned into? on: July 28, 2006 09:37:43 PM
I got an empty 10gallon that recently got a crack in the side so it's not good for fishes. Just trying to brainstorm on what could it be turned into. My mind is blank, how about yours? Huh
Thanks in advance and this site is amazing(and a maze)!
