11  Jersey mixed with Red plaid with braided straps in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by snowyangel on: March 21, 2008 12:41:31 PM
This is my first punk inspired top, the husband loves that it has a "peep" hole in the front. I had spare black and solid grey jersey and cut apart some old plaid boxers to create this braided strap top from scrap.  I don't have a serger but I think the sewing machine made it come out alright. What cha think?

12  Re: Questions About Hairstyles! in Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions by snowyangel on: March 21, 2008 12:31:58 PM
This thread is awesome!
Ok, so i've been wanting to do this nice mess up do, and i found a picture of how i want it. Do any of you guys know how to do this?
Thanks for any help! Smiley
Garden all i can reccomend is lots of hair spray, high pony tail and back brushing for lift. Then use bobby pins to hide the elastic.

I dunno if this is the place to post this, but I cut  off about 7inches of my hair  so it's now a cute bob style. Last night i slept in rag curlers(ya know strips of fabric, like how they did it back in the good ol days) and my hair was like Shirley temple but 10x shorter, lol so i decided to turn it into an up do. Thought I'd show pics incase those with short hair needed inspiration, short hair shouldn't limit you. Smiley
My hair is about 2 inches off the shoulder fyi. This style takes no more then 10mins(when pre-curled).

14  Three new looks and designs! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by snowyangel on: March 07, 2008 11:11:47 AM
Man I'm purse addict and I love unique bold prints so I made these three styles recently. I rarely make the same pattern over and over again but all have pockets.  I like bags that have more room to carry books and what not, so they're abit over sized.

This has pink apples, i just love pink and brown!

Messenger bag with a zipper

Mod print with satin interior

15  New funky lamp shades in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by snowyangel on: February 19, 2008 04:22:50 PM
This is probably one of the easiest recons I've done and I love the result. Started with 2 cream colored lamps with grey bases which is too dull and boring for me. So i brought out the modge podge, made my patterns for the lamp shades out of the newspapers, bought some beautiful silver irredescent martha stewart decorating paper on sale for $2 a roll and ta da! Two new lamp shades for $1 each! Eventually I'll spray paint the base silver too. Comments?

I did a great personal swap with KidArtemis for kitty ear hat. As a bonus she made me a yummy looking chocolate chip cookie scarf! In return I made her guinea pigs a jumbo fleece bed plus some little add ins. Thanks again!  Cheesy

18  Re: I can ___ but I can't ___ Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by snowyangel on: January 05, 2008 11:17:24 AM
Ahem, may I have your attention please. Actually i think this blanket will do that for me. Cheesy Take a look at this beauty that my awesome angel Rhonda made up rather quickly(excuse the kitty intervention). My "fur kids" love it and it feels very soft and comfy. I can see many movies nights on the couch wrapped up in this. I would say it easily covers a double sized bed. Who's jealous?! Tongue

The over all shot

Mmmm so comfy!

Thanks for being such a kick-arse angel Rhonda and thanks Miss V for finding her! Cheesy
