1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / conversation heart picture frames something for everyone on: February 06, 2008 04:36:06 AM
I had this idea this weekend. They are just simple wooden picture frames that I painted and glued conversation hearts down then covered them with resin. They turned out really cute.

I also made one that has my own messages added in for fun. Why not tell a loved one that you love them but that you also want them to die? If you really hated Valentine's Day you could make one completely out of subversive messages.

I also just made some with beads and glitter that turned out really cute as well.

I posted a tutorial on my blog if anyone wants to make some of these. They were a lot of fun and I really think my friends will like the finished products.

2  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Avenue Q T-shirt! on: August 31, 2007 01:51:43 PM
I made this for my friend's birthday. He loved it and I'm pretty sure its my favorite stencil so far. He's an English major I knew which song title to use. Even though I really wanted to put some of the more funny ones on there. I had to resist temptation. Grin

3  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Weasley sleeves, ready for the HP summer! on: July 11, 2007 05:31:37 PM
I've been working on my Molly Weasley costume for about a month or so off and on. I finally got to wear it out last night for the midnight movie. It thought I would share with you all.

I designed my own sleeves which I made from some granny squares and yarn I bought off of ebay that needed to be used. My mom helped me out with the house dress and revamped a pattern for scrubs to make it. The colors and sleeves are not exact replicas, but I like to have some originality with my costumes. I've blogged about most of the progress etc. on my blog.
4  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Myrtle Leaf Shawl on: March 23, 2007 11:09:59 PM
I made this shawl for my best friend's wedding. It was my first real lace project. I worked on it for about a month off and on and I really enjoyed knitting it up. I think I'm hooked on lace now!
Pattern: Myrtle leaf shawl with willow border from "Victorian lace today";
Yarn: Knitpicks bare lace weight
Needles: US 5 32" circular addi turbos US 5 dpns

6  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Fabric applique Valentines (w/ link to tutorial) on: February 13, 2007 03:15:53 PM
I worked on these last night and put a tutorial on my blog. They are super fun and cute. And a great way to destash fabric scraps!
7  CROCHET / Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller / Bunny slippers with some mods on: December 27, 2006 06:10:00 PM

After making two pairs of hello kitty slippers from this pattern, I've finally made the bunnies. I had to add a little something though. I added batting between the soles for extra plush factor and sewed some non-slip shelf liner to the bottoms to make them non-slip since the recipient has all tile floors. they turned out super cute and comfy and my cousin loved them. I've put up a tutorial on how I added the extras
on my blog.

Kitty and bunny lifelong friends... I guess I have to make myself a pair now.
8  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Knitting magazine addicts? on: December 07, 2006 10:42:47 PM
I am so addicted to magazines. Maybe its because I've only been knitting a year and am wanting to learn as much as possible. I just wrote a blogpost that other magazine addicts might appreciate.

Also, does anyone else have problems with certain places being very inconsistent about the craft magazines they carry? I've noticed that my local Barnes and Noble is very inconsistent. I'm just wondering if anyone else gets as annoyed as I do having to run to 5 stores to find a new issue of the magazine I might be trying to find.

You can find my blogpost here: http://craftyminx.blogspot.com/2006/12/public-service-announcement-dont-let.html
9  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / ribbed wrist warmers w/ link to pattern on: November 12, 2006 12:21:57 PM

I'm addicted to these things. I've made two pairs and am going to be casting on more soon for presents. You can get the pattern on my blog www.craftyminx.blogspot.com. Enjoy!
10  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / First embroidery project! on: October 22, 2006 07:04:17 AM
I made this jean skirt the other day and decided it needed something. So I got out my book of classic tattoo designs and the cherries on this screamed "pick me!" I really like it and have gotten tons of compliments on it. I'm thinking I may add more at a later date. But I've got tons of Christmas crafting ahead of me! comments are greatly appreciated!

You can see the light blue better in person. I couldn't get my camera to get a perfect picture of it.
