11  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: What Can I do With Old T-shirts? on: April 14, 2009 08:24:00 PM
T-shirt quilts are huge now.  My friend Nancy keeps making them (like for friends' whose spouses die, she gets the old T-shirts, cuts them up and makes keepsakes).  And a nice graduation present too for high school/college seniors.  or just to have because.
12  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: Pop tabs / beer bottle tops / plastic bubble things ? on: April 14, 2009 08:20:31 PM
I might be interested in beer bottle tops.  Could you PM me too?  Thanks!
13  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: Quilted Selvage Projects on: April 14, 2009 07:33:20 PM
I liked the Griska book. My favorite was a little apron she made for Mark Lipinski's Chinese pug, Tulip, with Tulip's name spelled out in little buttons.  But when I looked at it, I realized you'd have to hold your dog with his chest out because the name is spelled across the chest and the apron would drag unless you were holding the dog!  Should have been the other way around IMO.  But I loved the idea!
14  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Discussion and Questions / Reversible tank top pattern? on: April 14, 2009 06:04:21 PM
Can anyone recommend one for me, or at least a pattern for a tank?  I'm probably about a size 26 or 28.  Thank you!   Grin
15  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Discussion and Questions / Re: crafts from a wedding dress? on: May 19, 2008 12:55:00 PM
I saw a cute little pants suit (instead of christening gown) for a baby made from a bridal dress.  Or pillows/sachets.  Or a teddy bear?

Or you could chop it up and put it in a quilt/ wall hanging.
16  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Discussion and Questions / Patterns for a girl with a dunlap? on: May 16, 2008 12:56:44 PM
(In case you haven't heard the joke "My belly done lapped over my pants.")  So my belly really sticks out... are there any good pattern companies that deal with this issue?  My tummy is really out of proportion to the rest of me.  Any advice welcome!!
17  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Discussion and Questions / Flannel pajama pants pattern? on: November 06, 2007 12:15:46 PM
It occurred to me that I'd really like some flannel pants to lay in around my house.

Can anyone recommend a pattern on-line or that you've tried?  I'm not sure if I want to make tops, too -- usually, I just lay around in a t-shirt and pants/shorts.

Thanks!   Cheesy
18  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Any Newbies Here? on: October 23, 2007 12:51:48 PM
I'm starting... again.  I'm going to try to confine myself to small things for a while, like hats, scarves, cat toys, baby things (no layettes, no afghans!).  I just want to do stuff when I don't feel like piecing or quilting.
19  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Discussion and Questions / Cape pattern? on: October 11, 2007 01:48:12 PM
I really want a simple pattern for a fleece cape (hopefully, I am going to make it reversible and thus a double thickness).  Does anybody have a good pattern?  Thanks! Cheesy
20  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Discussion and Questions / Does anybody have a pattern for a fleece jacket? on: September 21, 2007 01:21:19 PM
I need one for me, preferably reversible for extra warmth.  I'm having the devil of a time this year, they don't even seem to be selling sweatshirts my size!  (When I had just gotten the idea of deconstructing a sweatshirt to make a jacket.  Grrr.)  Thanks, everybody!
