1  Re: Ongoing ATC Swap -- January 2014 Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by heini on: February 22, 2014 03:10:05 AM
I've received these pretty cards. From CDEeeek I got Indigo Bunting, the letter I for my Animal alphabet. And butterflies from Sonja Boo. Love them both, thank you.

I received this ATC from rockingbearranch. I want to collect a set of animal alphabet cards, and this is a great start for my collection.

Here's finally the ATC I got from Oath Keeper. I got it a week ago, sorry it took so long to post this pic.

I received these last week, but since I have only a crappy phone camera at home, I had to wait until I find time to use better camera at work.

Two from rockingbearranch, a zombie and a vampire.

And H. C. Andersens tin soldier from kosmicgirl.

Thank you very much, I love them all!

6  My first ATCs. in Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) by heini on: October 08, 2013 11:40:16 AM
I have been away from Craftster for couple of years, and coming back here feels like coming home.

I've made paper crafts as long as I remember, but in September I made my first ATCs ever. And here they are. I was mostly playing with my inktense pencils, papers and my cute owl stamp. They were fun to make, and I think I might be hooked on these.

7  Mushroom Hats in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by heini on: January 20, 2011 10:31:29 AM
Me and my sister made these hats in the summer, but I didn't post them here then.

My sister was going to see Lake of Tears with her friend and they wanted to wear mushroom hats, because the singer has one too. They're not very crafty, so they asked me if I could make them. I found a round hat pattern from a magazine and altered it a bit to make the hats wide enough. I made a practice version from an old bed sheet to see if the size and shape was right, and luckily the same size fit both of them. Then I went to fabric store and bought a piece of red corduroy, which was the only red fabric that felt sturdy enough. Then I just sew the hats. Last, but not least, my sister cut the white spots from felt and hand sew them on the hats. For me this was a quick and easy project, but my sister spent quite a while hand sewing.

8  My First Wallets in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by heini on: December 31, 2010 12:43:36 AM
I have lots of fabric scraps and I need small projects to use them. I thought wallets could be great, and I made three for Yule gifts. The red corduroy one was the first and I gave it to my mother. The others were for my sisters and since I had already practiced wallet making, I added some applique and machine embroidery on them.

Snap closure on the other side. The black fabric has gray roses on it, but you can't quite see them on the photo.

Opened wallets. Each of them have zippered pocket for coins and 6 slots for cards.

9  Re: 2009 12" Squares- December! in Crochetalongs by heini on: December 20, 2010 10:07:25 AM
Guess what! Here's the finished afghan!

I didn't quite follow this CAL, I replaced some squares with others and didn't finish it in time. This was supposed to be a wedding gift for my friends, but I lost my interest in making it when I found out that I couldn't go to the wedding. I had all the squares made in the beginning of this year, but I didn't join them until august or september. Then I gave it to my friends (they moved recently, so it was kind of combined house warming and wedding gift) and forgot to take a picture first. But now I have visited them with my camera and here's the afghan on their sofa.

Some Yule cards for friends and relatives. First I sew the red corduroy circle on the checkered cotton rectangle and then I sew it on the card base. Quick and easy and got rid of some small fabric scraps. And I think they were quite nice, at least different from regular Yule/Christmas cards with santa/snowman/angels/elves/glitter etc.

I also made a wallet for my mum with same fabrics and I have unfinished wallets for my sisters, I'll post pics of them when they're all finished.
