I've made like a gajillion earrings recently.

Many of the beads are made from graphics I drew in Illustrator and printed out on photo paper, laminated, and glued to craft foam.  Then I sealed the edges and back with 3D paint (it's acts just like a plastic coating!).

Hope you like them!  :}

Image drawn in Illustrator, printed on photo paper, laminated, cut out, super-glued to craft foam, black 3D painted around edges.  Added findings and voil!  Braiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiins!!!

3M Transparency Film For Plain Paper Copiers, Clear Film, High-Temperature, Pack Of 100

I don't want to take my graphics to a copy place if I can print them myself at home.  I tried regular paper (I heard it would work), but it didn't for me.  Tongue

Photo Emulsion method, obviously.

Any recommendations for other brands of transparent papers and where to get them?

Thanks much!
7  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Skulls wrist-band on: July 30, 2006 01:07:45 AM
Knitted this up for my step-son's upcoming birthday:

I sewed a felt backing on it to keep it flat and added a velcro closure.  The eyes are 3D fabric paint.  It's about 1.75 inches wide by 8 inches long.  Skulls were done in fair isle.  Cotton DMC craft thread.  2.25 mm.

Inspired by Mr Snootypus:  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=109673.0

He's a combination of crochet and knitting.  A mutant, if you will. Wink

Body is crocheted on size 3 hook (2.10 mm).  Legs are knitted (2.25 mm).  Suckers are crocheted - size 12 (1.00 mm).  The eyes and lips are fabric paint.  Three colors of craft thread (dark purple, medium purple, and light blue).

He took a lonnnnnnnnnnnnng time over the past two days.

He's a silly little guy:

1.5 mm needles with DMC craft thread.  Yes, I'm slightly masochistic.
